As long as you then wax the car.

Dish soap is great for stripping all the old wax off your car so you can put fresh wax on.

Otherwise? Use car soap.

is this car junk anyways? you did say it was broke down and sitting in your front yard. if thats the case, wash it with dish soap and sell it. its not going to matter.

I use dishsoap before i claybar and then wax. seems to work great. my uncle is a recon guy and he swears by that method

 

Hey man that **** does suck, id take that then what happened to my old car. my old aprtment was on main street in the city i live in used to have to park on the street. Woke up for work at 5 am went down to my car to see dents all over my hood and shoe marks. some drunk douche kicked the **** out of my hood or jumped on it a few times.
