gravel roads
Well my girlfriend moved out into a somewhat rural area so now i have to drive down a gravel road to get to her house. I drive really slow on the gravel (about 40km/h) but i know i am still gonna get chips, mostly on my rocker panels. does anyone know anything i could use to protect my car from the loose gravel?

I never use this product but just to give you an idea of something that could work

If you drive down gravel roads often, it might be a good idea to invest in a clear bra.

If you visit that link, they have quite a few options for our car, including a rocker panel protection package. It is pricey, but so is a repaint

I'd be more worried about the pickup truck going 90km/h comming at you with a cloud of dust and rocks comming at you. I've been down many dirt/stone roads and havent gotten any chips that i've seen. Just go slow.

The 3M clear vinyl is the best protection. It stands up to just about everything. I have 1 hole punched in my bra from a rock, when they were "resurfacing" (damn tar and gravel) #1 on the east side of Regina. I was doing 135 kph though.
I have the 3M on my front end, the front half of each fenders, the A pillers, the rocker panels, and behind the rear tires. In addition to flaps. It really makes a difference.
And the best part is, the only thing you see is the mudflaps. Until it gets dusty, then the dust sticks to the vinyl.
I got Sharp Auto in Stoon to do mine, and they have a few other "mobile vans" in the Regina area they can come around with. Rosetown also has a 3M place, but i don't know how close you are to them.
