Hard Rubber Trim Below the Window

I took a pic, but it was really hard to see.

I detailed my car today and that hard rubber trim that's right below the window has a lot of spotting. There are some shiny spots, dark spots, etc... Tried Invisible Glass, Meguiar's spray detailer, Meguiar's interior detailer... I don't know what else to try.

What have you guys done for that area? Thanks

i personally use just windex. even on the inside of the car. it's coming 2 1/2 years old and the interior looks like new.

spray a whole bunch on a rag, so that half of it id damp wipe down the survafe fairly vigorously, and then wipe to make sure it's dry. try not to use a glass cleaner with ammonia.

I really don't think that'll do it either. That Invisible Glass is very similar to other glass cleaners and even with the hardest rubbing, it looks the same afterward. If I get a chance I'll get my digicam and take a decent pic in some sunlight.

This may sound strange but trust me I have been detailing for 18 years now and have my own business but take whatever you use for CAR WAX rub it on the rubber area, work it in, and then remove it dont let it dry on though.

That should be fine. But like I stated you dont leave in on to dry. Just apply, rub in, and remove it with clean cloth.

DONT do this on the plastic!!!! Just the hard rubber around windows.

Then if you want it nice and smooth and black, alittle armour all on it will do the trick

Try some Back to Black to see if it's just wax residue that needs removing.

The thing is that the trim below the window isn't plastic. It's a type of hard rubber.
