How to Make Vinyl Decals/Stickers *LIKE NEW*
Well, as most of you know, Vinyl Decals will begin to fade and weather. They will eventually look like crap. Mine were EXTREMELY weathered and needed to be replaced so I attempted a home remedy a buddy and I thought of. Here's what to do to return them to near new quality. (I did this on black vinyl racing stripes and door's vinyl) I am not responsible for any damges and nor is Cobaltss.net
Tools/Item's Needed:
Masking Tape/Painters Tape
Cloth/Towel
Hose with running water
Trim Detailer (any should work)
Soft Scrub>Common Household clean item
1. Tape off your paint around the vinyl as to not damage it during the process
2. Get "Soft Scrub", Yes I know that sounds retarded, but if you have severe weathering like I did, it will take it right off. Use any cloth and slowly work in circles like waxing on. You will see black stuff on your cloth, this is the dirt and grim. Don't be afraid to use lots of Soft Scrub. It may help to slightly wet down the vinyl. (Please test this is an area before doing your whole vinyl like this)
3. Rinse off the vinyl so it is clean. Make sure you rinse off ALL the Soft Scrub!!! ALL OF IT, MAKE SURE NONE REST'S ON YOUR CAR. I don't know what effect it might have.
4. Allow to Dry. You should see a strong improvement in the weathering being reduced. If you still have weathering spots in areas like I did, repeat 2-4.
5. Using Trim Detailer, go over the vinyl lightly following directions. This will shine it up a lot and return it's rich color and luster it once had.
6. Remove Tape and Enjoy your Cobalt SS!!!

Thanks for reading guys, have a great day.
If anyone else does this please post up some pics.
Feels free to PM me questions or comments and I will change the directions if needed.
