Need help ASAP, seat/gum related topic!!!
Ok, so I went to a radio concert with my gf and I guess I must have sat in some gum there because I got gum on my leather seat and I'm having trouble getting it out. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated!!!

Kk, is there anything else (just cause I have none of that in the house at the moment. Also will that duster harm the seats. And also doesn't that not shoot anything but compressed air? so how does it freeze the gum?
Also, my mother suggested using oil (like baby oil). Would this work and would it harm the leather?

oil will most likely stain the leather. try goo gone or even better yet...go to an apohlstry shop where they do fabric repairs and customizing, they will have products to take it off. good luck

the compressed air cans when sprayed long enough spray extremely cold air. but if you tip it upside down it sprays water, you can also try taking an ice cube to it to freeze it and then take it off. that works really well.

just so there is no confusion, compressed air sprayed upside down is liquid CO2. DONT SPRAY YOUR FINGERS. you WILL get freezer burn... it should only take a couple of seconds to freeze the gum and break it apart.
You can get a can of "duster" brand x compressed air at walmart for around $4.

The main problem I'm facing is that it's more gum residue rather than a chuck so it's hard to get a grip of any of it, you think the co2 technique will work still? And how long do you think it can stay on because I'm not gunna be able to get some untill about 12 tomorrow unfortunatly.

And 2 more things...
Still just making sure the CO2 method won't harm the seats.
And by "spraying upside down" means just holding it upside down and spraying or is there another part to this.
Thanks for all the help so far!

That's what you want. Doesn't have to be that brand, but you get the idea.
Insert the straw that came with it, turn the can upside down, and spray the dirty area. It will freeze the gum and it should crack off.
If you shoot yourself, it will give you frostbite. If you spray yourself in little bursts, it doesn't hurt, but if you spray yourself for extended periods of time it will, and cause damage.

So I called the detailing group at the chevy dealer by me and they told me to bring it in so I'm gunna do that tomorrow (had work all day so couldn't do). I figure I could try and end up ruining the leather and scratching it or instead can have them do it and if they mess up well not my fault lol. Plus they probably know what they are doing a little better than me.
