Paint Detail Question

I'm trying to get all of the rain spots and other stuff buried deep in my paint but I cant get it out. Is there some strong ass wax that will get absolutely everything out not damaging the paint? I also plan to fill in deep scratches with GM black touch up paint and then buffing the hell out of this thing. I want it to look almost brand new again.

You will need to get a good polish, I would recommend Meguiars Ultimate compound or maybe their new Scratch X 2.0. Before that clay bar the area.

I know im new to the site but I do detailing for a living,

Sounds like you should just start out with the Porter Cable 7424 and take care of all of it.

get it wetsanded and buffed. if they sprayed a good layer of clearcoat no touch up should be needed.

gm didnt put near good enough of a clearcoat for good wetsanding....

and a porter cable 7424 is fine for what you want to do and almost what anyone would need to do....

there is a how-to at the top of this section that is what you need to read....

its called hatrickstus detailing guide...

i actually like the GM clear on my car better than any of the other painted surfaces. easy to correct, and pretty damn tough.

i think u have some acid rain marks... and if u will have 2 do a good buffing save u time and give u a better look plus if u have some fine scratches they be gone 2... better than clay bar

Like I said Im new here and not to disrespect but its not seal it and then polish.

Wash
Clay
Polish
Wax

Otherwise when you polish after you seal it youre just removing the wax or sealant.

You'd be surprised how many people think claying is the last step let alone polishing.

the sun may be hard on it, but its most likely due to poor detailing on your end. just being honest

I always felt like the paint having problems like that was from lack of taking care of the paint as well.
