You need to wash, clay, compound with something like Menzerna Super Intensive Polish. It's great on cars with hard clearcoats. You need to follow that up with a micro polish like Menzerna 106fa...or something even more fine like 3M Ultrafina. You also need to use a machine like the 7424. You will get great results with it. Don't waste time with OTC stuff from Wal-Mart because they don't work. Finish up with a good sealant OR carnauba wax.

It's just an extra step that is not needed. I don't believe it adds any better clarity, depth, etc if the car was polished correctly to begin with. I could see topping a sealant with a nuba if you use some cheap sealant, but why use the sealant in the fist place then? To each their own I guess.

because sealants dont provide "show" characteristics. wax does. you know this.

Have you used Wolfgang DGPS? That has one of the best finishes out there. Now don't get me wrong, something like Swissvax Mystery or Concorso finishes great, but for those who don't want to spend $240-$500 and put up with sweating, Wolfgang is pretty darn good.

Give it a shot if you can. Maybe get a sample of it in your next order. You will not be disappointed.

Its GM's shanty painting process. Theyve been skipping out on the clear coat. I had a 2008 Pontiac G8 with about 80mils of clear coat versus the average 140-150.

Looks like a HEAVY oxidation of the paint or someone poured something on it. I must say, ive seen some bad cases of it, but that is not fixable... repaint is your only option there.

Do you store your car outside in the direct sunlight all the time?

once you get it taken car of, i would use ICE liquid polish by turtle. Its a showroom wax that keeps the car nice and shiny. I actually instead to do mine tonite.(again)
