Polishing stock 18 inch polish wheels?

Anyone have any experience with this because from what I understand the stock polished wheels are actually painted not polished so would a mequiars 105 and 205 polish be safe on them? Because if they are painted then an aluminum polish would probably destroy them. Any input would be appreciated cuz these wheel have swirls galore right now.

You would need to strip the clear coat off to actually Polish the aluminium. If you just want to try and shine them up Meguiars 105 followed by 205 would be fine and then use a good wheel sealant.

Poorboy's makes good stuff.
