pos carbon fiber
so my carbon fiber hood is extremely oxidized. looks white now..
anyone ever sanded there hood or what not to get the oxidation of? before anyone says buy a buffer i already have one and connot do it to save my life..
im at the point now im ready to sell it for cheap of paint it the same color as my car

Don't touch it if you haven't before. Take it to a body shop and have them buff off the gel coat and reclear the hood. I had it done to mine when it started oxidizing. Also had the sides from the bodylines over color matched. Cost two hundred total

07mettalicsc i love how that looks and our cars are the same color i was told 275 to paint it but i just cant break down and paint over the cf if its fixable maybe tommoro ill take of the hood and give it to the body shop

its one down here by my house in imperial called johns auto body they painted my dads 85 cj jeep a cooper rust cooler and did a fantastic job i know fiberglass is different then cf to paint but they said it wouldnt be a big deal just drop it off for the week

will do its just the time to get up there i work the same hours they are open so its kinda hard. and i have to figure out what i want to do i dont want to steal your desing lol even tho our cars wont ever be next to each other but still

Nah man do it up. If you like it and think it will give your car a clean look paint it like mine. I'm glad people like what I did with mine. Notice do up towards the windshield he curved off the paint line rather than straight back

well i picked the car up and sadly they couldnt salvage the hood he said it is to far oxidized but they did buff the rest of the car for me i had alot of overspray from a company that operates next to my work and they wouldnt pay for any of it. so here are the pics. sorry i didnt grab any before pics.
here is one before pic i found and this is after i just washed it so u can kind of tell the difference.
