Scratches on Int. plastic

The lower door panels and the center ones down by your feet seem to get scratched up pretty easy. Mine are black and it's like the plastic "fringes" up by the scratch and makes it look white. I was thinking about, carefully, pointing a heat gun at it to see if it melts that fringe back down. Any better ideas? Back to Black etc?
