Picked up a new trunk without the ricer wing, anyone else shaved the trunk lock? I can't find any pics on google. I might grab some new doors too and see how that looks shaved too

Moving on.

If it's a look you want then go for it. I rather like it but have also had a dead battery on a few occasions and I don't enjoy:

1. peeling the rear seat back
2. wedging my arm through the gap
3. ripping the seat release off the rear deck
4. pulling it into the cab
5. releasing the seat back
6. crawling into the trunk
7. pulling the "help I've been kidnapped" handle
8. crawling back out of the trunk

It's not a particularly comfortable or enjoyable experience to me.

The obvious solution is to pull those seat back releases into the cab, but there's no real good spot for them.

All that effort when you can just connect another cars battery to the terminals under the hood and open the trunk

My jumper cables are stored next to the spare tire under the trunk carpet. I doubt many people in my area have any concept of carrying jumper cables for themselves, much less others.
