Tire shine?..

So i have Armaor All liquid gel, after I apply, drive for a couple miles it spits up black dots of the tire shine on my door and bottom of my car, pisses me off. Anyone know of tire shine that dont do that?

I use mcguiars endurance gel tire shine. It doesn't seem to sling at all. You do have to make sure you don't put too much on and you allow about 5 to 10 minutes for it to set up prior to driving. I follow the instructions on mine and haven't had it sling yet. I would recommend it. I just use an applicator that you can pick up pretty well anywhere.

i use Black Magic. Simple solution to your problem is to not drive the car until the shine has dried onto the tire. Any time i use tire shine, I use it knowing that I won't be driving the car for a few hours.

I used Turtle Wax Wet n' Black Tire Shine Gel last time i detailed the SS, used a sponge to put it on, let it sit on there and soak into the tire while i conditioned the leather inside and then i wiped each tire with a towel after to get excess residue off, also didnt drive for a few hours after, worked great and had a nice shine to it for over a week, and it didnt fling **** all over my car either lol

FTW! This is the only stuff I use. Doesn't sling unless you go like 80mph for a while. But, still like said above, let the product sit for a while before you drive.

Yeah dude use Turtle Wax Wet 'n' Black Tire spray, it comes in a can that you spray (like spray paint) then all you do is whipe off any that you may have accidentally gotten on your rims or something and leave it... lasts about 2 weeks for me and theres no work to it lol Just spray it on and leave. Gets a great wet look to the tire and no 'black dots' =]

i use a foamy spray from armor-all. its very low gloss but makes the tire look new and black, which is all i want. tires shouldnt be shiny.

after 10 minutes its mostky dry and doesnt sling.

I use Black Magic too but if I know I have to go somewhere before it fully dries, all I do is just lightly wipe some of the tire shine off so its not wet. Still looks just as good too and you don't have to worry about it slinging.

^ This. I use Black Magic as well. Damn good stuff as long as you apply it correctly.

I use the same stuff and find you cant use a crap load of it. Just a very thin layer with no excess on the tires. Had the same problem when i first started using it then just put enough of it on to make my tires black, let sit for 15-20 min and no more splatter

I've consistently used (original) Armor All in the spray bottle... the stuff that people usually lather all over their interiors. It is water based... so it dries faster (little to no "slinging"), it washes off with water and/or rain, and it doesn't kill the suds in your bucket next time you wash your car, if you were to accidentally decide to put your tire cleaning sponge in the bucket. Most of those other products (Black Magic Tire Wet, and similar, and a lot of the gels) have silicone in them... the stuff that takes forever to dry, stays caked on your tires after miles of driving, after collecting a bunch of dust and dirt, thereby turning your tires brown.

15 years of car ownership and as many cars later, original Armor All is always the product I go back to... and I've tried EVERYTHING from the sprays to aerosal cans, to the gels with the foam pads, etc.

ive found armor all products to be cheap in every aspect. I never use their stuff anymore and could never bring myself to reccomend any of their products.

I vouch for mcguiars, mothers, and turtle wax for run-of-mill shines. If you want perfection Swissvax is pretty good.
