vinegar for the win. lol
A wash, vinegar/dry , another wash, and old school style turtle wax used on every exterior surface.
the spray bottle of vinegar works wonders!!! after the 2nd wash half of my hood/bumper water spots were gone, and any other glass/body part with previous water spots had none.
but then i took the good old original turtle wax, and did every exterior surface by hand. now the remaining hood water spots are barely visible and every surface ****** blings. lol.
too bad it dawned on me to take a pic in dusk. more tomorrow unless i go driving a bunch tonight. lol

yes yes. tomorrow guys. i gave it a good drive tonight, but i think it'll be good for a good wipe down tomorrow for more pic's.
The exact process i used:
grabbed some white vinegar, put it in a spray bottle.
washed my car as normal, then dried it.
put the car in the shade.
applied the vinegar over the vehicle in sections, let sit for about 5 minutes, and then wiped dry.
then washed the car as normal again, and dried it.
at that point i went ahead and applied the turtle wax, doing the car in sections.
it looks good by my book.
will have better, non-cell phone pics tomorrow.
the springs will happen soon enough. :-P

Ok, once again my other camera has epically failed me. So I raised the resolution on my cell phone as much as I could. After all this, I plan on clay barring it in the next month.
Then I walked outside and found that, while yes i had pulled my nose out enough to not get my rear covered by the sprinkler, I had put my nose out and the rain got o it. No biggie. But these pics are after i wiped the rain from it.
hey you can even kinda see my completely painted mirrors! :-P
It was a bad day for lighting. especially with this cell phone. but here's some shots i took today.

Glad it got rid of the water marks, however, those two close-up shots show that it the water spots might have already did some damage. It could be the quality of the picture, but those two close-up sunlight shots show what appear to be water-spot etching. They should be able to be polished out if they aren't they haven't gone too far into the clear coat.
Reason I'm saying is because I just don't want to see you try to "wash" them off, because they're in the clear coat, not on the paint. I've seen people mar and swirl the hell out of their paint trying to get rid of water spots that weren't water spots, they were the etching leftover from the water spots. I'd try a clay bar followed up with some Scratch-X or similar, just to see if it makes any difference. If it doesn't, you might have to look into getting it polished out with machine.
Believe me, I know where your coming from. I live across the river from Detroit, and with all the pollution in the area, when it rains, it rains dirt. Even a light rain will leave my car looking like a drove it down a dirt path. Its like bird droppings, the longer you let it sit, the more it migrates into the paint finish. It's a pain, especially when you don't have a shaded area to park your car, so the minerals in the water just bake into the paint.
Sometimes, right after it rains, I'll take the hose out to the car, take the nozzle off it, and just flush the whole paint surface, allowing the "dirty" rain to sheet off the car. Then I'll just take the leafblower and blow off the excess. Doesn't get rid of all the dirt, but it minimizes any water spotting problems I was having before.

Why would you have any water spots after you dry that needs the vinegar in the first place is what I am wondering?
Cali Water Blade FTW I suppose... Microfiber to get a few stray drops.. never any spots after that though.
