I can only suggest to steel wool them , than polish, than 3-4 coats of clear and finally lots of wax..... maybe that will protect them from the salt. You could always get some steelies tho too.....

Then I would go w/ a metal polish on 0000. But I think it'll need to be followed up afterwards.
