SSC gauging interest???

I have had several requests about the possibility of creating silicon engine dressup kits. These kits would could precut and with directions as to where each individual piece of hose would go. Also any additional clamps, zipties, etc that you would need to have to replace your factory hoses with these new kits( if developed ) will also be included in the set. Please give me your feedback as I would like to offer a quality hose kit to compliment our quality and already proven existing engine bay packages.
Thanks you,
Jared

Most likely I am going to go with www.thermalflex.com. I am awaiting a quote on bulk order from them.

As I always have I will show before I sell. This was my first engine bay in my srt-4. A little aggresive but it flowed nicely with contrast. So this is not foreign to the way I think.

I'd be interested as well Jared. Keep us updated. Do you have an estimate of how much it would cost?

not just yet. however tthe kits will probably be two stages. A standard hose kit with the option of a radiator hose kit upgrade.

Sounds good. I'd be down for it. Radiator hose would be great too.

Well guys I just got an e-mail from thermalflex. I must say it was a bit Jaw dropping. I will shae it with you because I can barely believe the cost and up keep to get this going. Everybody keep in mind when you read the numbers that they are my cost not yours. So mark up would have to be added to make a profit in order to make money.

Jared,

Thank you for your interest in Thermal Flex. I'm certain you will like
the quality of our hose, we sell to some well known companies like
Saleen, Toyota Racing Development, Steeda, AEM, and others. Unfortunately, our lead times are very long at this time because we are
in the height of the busy season for us. We could provide a quote to you but I must be very blunt in stating that our lead times are currently 8-12 weeks for new custom orders in new
programs.

Custom Radiator Hose Program

Most people don't understand that silicone hose is hand made. It is not
rocket science but it is challenging. As a result we ask customers to
make a minimum annual purchase commitment of $10-$15,000 depending on
the mix of product. The hose in this program is available in Blue, Red,
or Black but you have to let us know which colors you will purchase
because we have to create a special part number for every part number you
purchase. Investment is required on your part to launch this program.
For a 2 hose kit we charge a set-up fee of approximately $1,200-$1,600
depending on the size and complexity of the hoses. The individual hoses
are normally $45 to $70 each and so a kit would have a cost of $90 to
$140. After the NRSU (non-recurring set-up fee) is paid we make drawing
of the parts, and the mandrels, we have the mandrels made and verify the
dimensions, then make a first article for your review and approval
before we begin production. The mandrels are the property of Thermal Flex
however your company owns the production from the tools. In other words,
no other company including Thermal Flex is allowed to purchase or sell
parts manufactured from these tools except your company. If you do not
purchase hoses from the tool within any 12 month period Thermal Flex
reserves the right to produce parts from the tool. If this is an issue
for you can always have mandrels made on your end and sent to us but they
must meet our production standards.

Please see the attached Catalog for your review.

Please contact me again soon with any questions about our program.

Best regards,

Bob Lupoli, Thermal Flex

yep that is pretty close to correct. I would really do this for everyone but I just don't see the demand for these things. I am still waiting to hear back from samco. Maybe they will be a little different. Guess we wait and see. Guys I am trying.
