Once again I have no leather, no sunroof, no sound system and I was running very light on gas. My car weights only around 2700lbs and puts close to 170 whp and 160ftlbs to the wheels. A good 300-400 lbs less than a GTI. Please figure out what that means....the GTI could not pass me I mean I wasn't acting pompous it is what it is.... End of story.

Why don't you bring whatever you want and we'll do 10 laps at Beaver Run race track at a track day. I'll spot you a beer for serving in IRAQ.

I ran a 15.0 with a 2.2 60 foot with 10 witnesses. I had bad wheel hop we can't launch these cars with stock motor mounts.. Do the math. With a 2.0 60' foot its easy 14s. You're probably about an hour from us. PM me i'll meet you I have $ that says I am faster.

Whoa whoa whoa CUJO I have a valid 15.0 time slip. I have been dragging and wining SCCA titles racing since probably before you were born. I am not a "kid" and with a 2.2 60 foot time taken to a 2.0 60 foot time will easliy be 14s. You should know that if you know anything about drag racing. C'mon.

Where did I say I didn't go to the track.? I have alot of people on here who saw me go 15.0 at PRP last fall with massive wheel hop or spin..Couldn't get it to hook on stock tires. My trap was well over 94 mph and 15.00. Once I get into the 14s with better tires. I sure will post it up and I'll collect my $300 or U come to PRP and witness it yourself.

He's got the intake and a tune. That's it. The reason his car hauls is he knows how to order em to save weight, nail the setup, and drive the hell out of em.

PRP = Pittsburgh Raceway Park. His mods are in his sig. Injen intake. Tune. Period. What the hell is this surprise mod everyone's waiting for???? Only other thing I'd think he could list is driver mod. As far as a big head, I'd think you're allowed to have something of an inflated ego after you've won a few SCCA national championships, but that's just me.

 

I replied to you in a PM. In no way was I "getting a big head" . I never said the GTI was slow or said anything derogatory about it. I love them. I have a german car (below) and I never discredited it. I simply posted a true story let everyone deduce what they may.

Driving the car has a tiny bit to do with it too bro. Since you are not having wheel hop issues and you are on stock mounts and control arms I'd be curious.

 

lol i didnt say i didnt have wheel hop. lol i was just saying dont make that an excuse but as far as the flash.. did you do a before and after time? or before and after dyno. does it really help that much? i was looking into it before and the local shop said it will help A LITTLE bit, but not worth the 350. i mean if you truely are putting down these impressive numbers, maybe this should get out more

 

GTP is well known on the site as a proven racer winning title in other vehicles,you forget that age is also referred to as "driver mod".GTP imagine the numbers you would get with my 2.7 LOL

Sorry George, little late on this. But I was there as well, incase there is still any doubt. He also is consistant, not a fluke. He was getting 15.1s all night with shitty tires. He ran my stock SS/SC the day I brought it home with about 40 miles on it.

Needless to say, he kept up a lot better than I thought considering I traded my 2.4 SS for my SS/SC. He keeps dead even until the 110+ range.

 

I'll believe it when i see it.. I have respect for the GTI's, they hold thier own, and they are, again, NOT slow

You know.. the SS/SC cobalts dont push thier full boost off the lot.. you have to break them in

That is why I tossed in that little detail.

 

GTP ran me a few times that night and mine is 100% stock... while I wasn't running anywhere near what my SS/SC could run, I had a best of 14.98 @ 97.8 mph ( i think ) and on the runs GTP ran me, he beat me both times...
I ran 15.2 or 15.3 and he ran 15.1's.


No.. GTI's are NOT slow cars, and I really don't see what his time slips have to do with him running another car on the street.


George and I are the "seniors" of the group and not some punk 22 yr old trash talkers that can't tell the difference between a GTI, Rabbit, or a Jetta...

this is one of those reasons why there's so many people that stop posting information on this forum anymore. If someone can't understand it, they belittle, trash talk, or otherwise dismiss the poster as a moron, noob , or liar.
