2.4L N/A Build

2007 Pontiac G5 GT

I want to do a complete engine build in the future without boosting.

However, I don't even know where to start.

I am fully bolted at the moment and will be getting tuned soon.

I know GM made a catalog to build the 2.2L but nothing for the 2.4L

I think we should add more stuff to the 2.4 modification list that covers all parts for a complete build.

But anyways, if anyone can help me out on links and parts (cams, pistons, etc.) It will be greatly appreciated.

what redline are you looking for? honestly, the stock 10.4:1 CR is pretty good for an NA build, but if you wanna up that, 11:1 would be nice too (but LE5 pistons are expensive). Get some better valves, valvesprings, and port the head. Then throw some cams in there and start revving to 8kRPMs

Okay then I might just keep the stock pistons. I just need to find a shop that can do some of this for me.

I hear there aren't any good aftermarket cams for the 2.4L...just JBP which I have heard suck.

Take them to a shop and get a set of cams custom ground for your liking.
