Wiring Harness

I used the search, found some answers, but not all. I have pretty much no knowledge of car audio, and Im getting a new headunit installed. I ran into the problem of no sound coming from the speakers but the headunit did power on. Best Buy told me that the amp couldnt hook up with my RDS cable. So I searched and found that it was probably the wrong wiring harness. If I use this (http://cgi.ebay.com/METRA-70-2103-20...QQcmdZViewItem) wiring harness will my problems be solved? Or is there something I am missing?

that sux no option but to relocate the radio to the trunk for the 2007, man no love there.

i'll cut the plugs out before i shell out another $200 just to here a ding when my door is open

guess i'll just drive around for a day or 2 without a radio at all plugged in and see if i'm missing anything other than the dings

audio question?

If this is a pioneer set up in your balt, the amp is in the driver kick panel, you can bypass it or you can use a part that integrates the harness in the dash. Either way, make sure you use the remote turn on to the amp turn on or the amp wont turn on to give you sound. Obviously if you bypass the amp, this wont be required since your not using the factory amp. Also if you bypass the amp, the sound will be cleaner, but you may lose the sub in the trunk. When i get to work tomm il get you the right part number if you just wanna use a harness.

If you have an 07 with the Pioneer system the harness you need is the GMOS-LAN-04. Trust me I got one for mine and it works perfect. I've had my Alpine IVA-W200 for a couple months now, but the harness is pricey.

Well, i have an base 07 LS so stock radio no poineer no sub no amp, and so farI haven't found one of the "cheap" harnesses to use, right now i see no point in paying $100 just to keep a ding when my door is open or my fuel is low.... so i'm going to just cut out the harness thats in there leaving a good amount of wire on the connector end and use quick disconnects on both ends so if need be i could always just reconnect the OEM connectors and radio
