Can I ask a simple question? Why is it that "SOME" not all, just some of you 2.2 guys get so defensive all the time?? A 2.0 guy ask a simple question, nothing against you guys at all, and then you guys start jumping to conclusions and getting all defensive..... I see nothing wrong with moding any car, its your car, your money, you guys do what ever you want to it..... doesnt matter if its a viper or a 88 civic, I could care less, but most of us on here are just tring to help and give advice. Now a guy buys a brand new 07 LS and right away wants to put a supercharger off a ss/sc on it. That is fine, in alot of peoples eyes, it will look like a waste of money, cause using facts here, M62 blower, intake manifold, HE, tuning, etc, etc..... it will probally cost around the same as a ss/sc(within 1-3grand probally, might even cost more.....)So really he would have probally saved money in the long run going with the ss/sc, say whatever you want, you guys KNOW its true.....so the 2.0 guy ask a simple question(why didnt you buy a ss/sc in the first place) and you guys get all mad.... then it turns into a big never ending argument about how you guys are going to make your 2.2 beat a ss/sc....and it will still cost cheaper, blah, blah, blah....it is really getting anoying....I have iqnored it for a long time now but there is a thread everyday about how a 2.2 is going to beat an ss/sc or why didnt you buy the ss/sc.... This needs to stop....I know both sides are at fault for this arugement, but it cant just keep going on and on.....We need to do something to stop this in the future....

Also I see the 2.2 guys rant about how there cobalt is "better" and cost less and can beat a 2.0 on a cheaper budget, etc, etc.....but I never see them get an infraction for it??

AGAIN!! I have nothing against people modding any car and doesnt matter what kind of mods, but when a member is talking out of his ass, saying false info like how the F23(2.2)and axles is capable of handling 350whp when there are many guys with F35(2.0)blowing trannys and axles with around or less than 300whp, it is a huge weak point in OUR cars, but there is no way that the F23 is stronger than a F35 and then that member thinks suspension and LSD doesnt even help???

Is their any way you guys can help? Some of you guys seem like pretty good guys, some I dont know but few are "asses" and that is my honest opinon, no names here, just dont agree with a few of you guys.... JonyyB, you are doing a great job....great site btw!
I dont know if I was a little harsh in this statment or not, but this is really starting to get to me....and we need to put a stop to this. If some of you mods disagree, can we just try to disscuss it instead of powertriping and just banning me aswell as others....which probally wont slovle anything cause we will be right back with a differant user.....
Some of you might agree and some might disagree but I am asking you guys to come together to think of a solution for this....Banning people and giving out warnings are not working so we need to think of something else.

I would rather this thread be used to think of a way to stop this so I ask everyone to not argue whos car is "better", and try to find a way to stop this.

i had a 2.2 guy try to race me today. funny thing was, i was accelerating slightly harder than normal and we were dead even. he really thought we were racing, but i wasnt.
not all 2.2 guys are like that though, just him.

Its called working with what you have, i have a 2.2 and i get crap from some SS people and its like this is what i have this is what i could afford so im going to mod the **** out of it and thats that. Im sry at $12,000 car is in my range and a $21,000 isint. Like the orginal poster said who gives a rats ass what car it is its yours to mod or not. And to the SS guys there are some that ive had comments and positive feed back form thats very apreciated, thank you.

dam thats 2 of these type of post in a day. here is waht i have to say. for thouse of us that bought the ss s/c we started off on a better platform it was faster to start and the aftermarket came to us first becase we were the faster car to start. but for the 2.4 and 2.2 they now have the aftermarket coming out an will be abale to do more to there cars also. like turbos and superchargers. and thats a big thanks to the supporting vendors on this site by giving them the chance. i will personaly tell you that when some one in a 2.2 or 2.4 trys to race me i will race them and after words if they look cool about it i will talk to them. it dosent matter what car you have if you want to mod it and be fast that is them. and if you dont like it who the hell gives a ****. after all its not your money. **** after all my first car was a v-6 camaro and i tried to mod it and every one with the big v-8s and all said its a waste of time. but i was still in school with only a part time job so thats what i had to deal with.

I can take a $600 VW Bug from 1978 , strap a $10,000 JATO rocket on it and beat all of you in the 1/4 mile. For cheaper.....

I don't really remember where I was going with that argument, something about price differences and money spent making anything better than stuff. I dunno.

I understand you frustration, but you are presenting it one-sided. The LSJ guys CONSTANTLY invade threads by L61 owners wanting to mod their stuff, and their comment is always "you should have bought an SS".

I am now handing out warnings to anybody that does that. If you dont want to answer the thread authors question, and you are there just to post ***** a stupid useless comment like the one above, expect a warning.
