Many older car forums have banned political discussions. The SE-R forum i used to frequent has been around for more than 10 years and has not allowed any political discussion. The idea behind it what several of you have discussed before, most political discussions turn into a big argument where there is no clear victor and no one walks away the better. There was a posting 101 video a long time ago and it said ask yourself this before posting, what does it contribute to the betterment of the forum community?

im just discussed with the democrats choice for a president.. i mean seriously it came down to a women who carpet bagged to get where she was and senator who had who almost voted present more then he voted with or against his party on issues. you guys had so many great choices out there... im a conservative and i would have voted for edwards.. or Mike Gravel.

i agree....i was an edwards fan. but i'm liking obama more and more as i read more and more....scary isnt it?

I'm sure the change won't be instantaneous; of course the members will have a few days to adjust if it happens. I bet an announcement will be made, and everyone will know when it happens and what will/wont be allowed.

he is god huh but honestly no matter what wether its a political thread, apperance thread, or just an rant thread there will always be some one with a negative point and there will always be something or someone to make a thread go bad it happens all the time.
