Bring back Rep Points- My reason why.
Bring back Rep Points- My reason why.
I can tell you right now that cobaltss.net still has the largest amount of cobalt owners and probably ecotec enthusiast on the web.
that being said MOST everything on this site nowadays is off topic BS. WHICH IS OK, to a point.
but I am afraid that all the knowledgeable people will eventually leave. its happening.
-therefore. I suggest we bring back rep points.
This will encourage people to help each other again
and turn this into the friendly place it used to be. where you could post a problem and within minutes have a ton of replys from people wanting to help.
Taking away Rep Points becuase it seems like to much work to manage the small inconvenience it may be to the admin is not a reason i can accept.
I understand its a business. but aren't you out to help fellow owners as well as provide someplace for entertainment?
keep civil please. no CSSnet sucks posts or anything like that.

The last system had too many flaws and people would get rep for no reason and then you would get the random negative reps as well. I don't think it's a good idea.
And then people would neg rep just if you so much as disagreed with them. VADriven.com has a rep system that actually works, b/c if some reps you, a mod/admin has to approve it first.
I wouldn't mind its return IF:
1. it wasn't abused this time around. Only rep people when they actually help you or do something worth rewarding them for. And don't neg rep someone for bogus reasons, like them not agreeing that your new wheels are super badass.
2. if the rep system is properly moderated. I think all rep points should have to be ok'd by a mod or admin. That way if someone neg reps someone and their reason is "you smell", the mod can cancel it out so someone dosen't recieve neg rep for a pointless reason. And it would work the other way around as well.

QFT! The OP has been on this site long enough to know who knows what they are talking about anyways
We would see the return of the CSS.Net neg rep crew

I had pretty good rep when they did away with the system. And it was all legitimate rep points that I was actually given for helping someone.

I don't think the ***** threads are a problem. Regardless, I only post on here when I am bored at work.

it gave people something to do the only problem i see is how someone who did not even post in a thread can negative rep you saying some nasty **** making you think it was someone in the thread that said it.

There were way to many flaws in it. In the back room or the dungeon people would rep like a **** for no reason. Its goign to be hard to control a rep system.
