That's where most of mine came from. And a person with higher rep would give you more rep points

I usually don't listen to anyone other than Maven anyway so the rep system is kind of moot...

since were talking about ideas that will never happen and 2 mods are reading this.... we should get a feedback section in the classifieds area vs the single thread we have now

whats the point, no one uses the thread we have now anyways... plus it's alot easier to keep track of formatting and such with 1 thread vs many.

That is just my opinion

true but multiple threads would premote usage and allow you to look at a single users entire feedback in once place.

**** id mod it if need be.

there's a forum i visit that has an "eTrader" feedback for people that sell stuff. in order to leave feedback the person that gets feedback must submit a link of the FS thread and a PP payment receipt in order to leave the feedback from the other member. i've never sold anything on there before though so i'm not for sure how it all works.

the feedback score would be underneath were the post count is.

I have seen something like that on other forums as well.

if there's a way to incorporate that into this forum code or what not id say do it. and like i said ill gladly do the leg work if need be. ill just need way more pm space. I just realized this forum is the only one I'm on (even the small local ones) that doesn't really have an active feedback system. I honestly don't care what it is as long as people use it.... right now its not working so while it might be a good idea and ultimately is the easiest for everyone IMO (with the search button) its not being used, why i don't know but if there was some sort of change that might premote usage. plus face it who reads stickies and uses the search button.

the Bronco furms i am on have the same system, and it seems to work extremely well. The mods work very hard to keep threads clean, and don't tolerate much of anything. Maybe because the members are a little more mature, but there doesn't seem to be so many BS threads.

Also, they kind of force use sticky's, and new members have limitations, as well as post count minimums. Sounds ****-ish, but it works.

Also, some forums don't allow rep or post's made in the lounge to add to the total. So, the only posts that count towards credit are ones made in technical sections. I think it would work well.

reputation points are lame. They dont encourage anyone to go out of the norm to do something better for "points" that dont really represent anything except "look how much time i spend on ss.net"

also people have been saying "all the knowledgeable people are leaving"... they said this when I... originally joined the site over two years ago. The people that are here, and here because they want to be. I dont recall anyone leaving because they took away rep points, most people got other cars, or got fed up with the kiddies.

just imo
