added to the remix in the dungeon
I have seen something like that on other forums as well.
there's a forum i visit that has an "eTrader" feedback for people that sell stuff. in order to leave feedback the person that gets feedback must submit a link of the FS thread and a PP payment receipt in order to leave the feedback from the other member. i've never sold anything on there before though so i'm not for sure how it all works.

the Bronco furms i am on have the same system, and it seems to work extremely well. The mods work very hard to keep threads clean, and don't tolerate much of anything. Maybe because the members are a little more mature, but there doesn't seem to be so many BS threads.
Also, they kind of force use sticky's, and new members have limitations, as well as post count minimums. Sounds ****-ish, but it works.
Also, some forums don't allow rep or post's made in the lounge to add to the total. So, the only posts that count towards credit are ones made in technical sections. I think it would work well.

reputation points are lame. They dont encourage anyone to go out of the norm to do something better for "points" that dont really represent anything except "look how much time i spend on ss.net"
also people have been saying "all the knowledgeable people are leaving"... they said this when I... originally joined the site over two years ago. The people that are here, and here because they want to be. I dont recall anyone leaving because they took away rep points, most people got other cars, or got fed up with the kiddies.
just imo
