"how to section" organization

Hello,

I think the "How To" section could benefit from a little organization.

What I'm suggesting are 5 "thread locator" threads.

These threads would be:

Interior
Exterior
TC specific mods
SC specific mods
NA specific mods

I would be happy to do the initial work. The threads would simply be a list of links, that bring you to the actual thread.

I would envision the threads to have a list like this:

Interior -

Door Panels

link
link
link

Dash Painting

link
link
link

Seat swaps

link
link
link

lighting

etc etc etc....

same sort of breakdowns for the other threads. That would allow people to find exactly what they are looking for without a ton of extra searching.

Since the threads have to be approved, once the initial work is done, when a new thread is posted, a mod would just have to add the like to the appropriate "thread locator" thread.

Hope this helps!

That's actually a really good idea. But I doubt anyone will wanna do the work of sorting through the entire How To section. "That's what the search button is for"<---I'll bet you get an answer something like that

Sounds like those sections could simply be sub-categories. This way you would simply have to relocate each thread to the appropriate section, instead of editing and updating a post every time a new how to is posted.

KISS works in many situations, but sometimes all that simplicity turns into a cluster of lost how-tos.

Yeah I've always thought that the how to section should have sub categories and **** instead of all of it grouped into one big thing. Good idea

Thanks, like I said in my original post, I'd be happy to do the initial setup.

Unfortunatly I've been out of work for a while and I've got nothing but time. In the last few days I've gone through every page of the how to section.

I noticed that there are several posts on the same or similar mod, and that I would have to sort through lots of threads that didn't pertain to my Tc.
