Welcome
I can't remember the specifics but there was a post somewhere (I believe in the lounge) that explained the reasons for it. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe it was because the race shop wasn't a supporting vendor and it was considered free advertising. If they took the link out of their signature and just left the logo, they wouldn't be banned. Something to that degree anyways.
Unfortunately I missed the whole event while I was at work. When I got home and logged on the whole forum was a total mess.
Oh and if you ever are in need of some help I'll be glad to give a hand.

IB..One thing you could do for Vendors is have them check in with you maybe once every week...and if they go so long without checking you could check to see if they are still around. Also you could check with the people on CSS.net and see the feedback that they are giving for certain Vendors
Also I have a lot of friends who were banned. I will try to tell them that the site is being changed up maybe they will join back.

It’s important to note that every person that got banned got banned for a good reason. A rule violation in every instance. That is all I am going to say. IB is obviously in charge now and they can see the post history of all the “upstanding” people that got banned.

...anyone that was "banned for supporting a race shop" were also bashing paying vendors and advertising for companies that are NOT Supported Vendors to the point it was getting outta control and against the rules.
As for the odd/silly banning reasons they were probably just jokes and shortly unbanned afterward.

This is very true. We are really good at
kind of work.
since we're on the topic of vendors, I'd like to see what you guys can do as far as encouraging them to make more affordable turbo parts for the lsj and 2.2/2.4 guys. Like an intake manifold (which I'm currently in the market for). I mean seriously, why does quality have to cost close to $1000.
I was just posting in the thread about making the site better. But you have now made the right step into making this a better site. Thank you sir.
One thing I can't stand are people who used to own a cobalt or people who dont even own a cobalt posting on the threads. This is a Cobalt Forums People who start coming on here from other forums causing problems need to IMO
Everyone is welcome here regardless of what kind of car they drive as long as they play nice and flow the rules. Unfortunately the internet is full of trolls and yes people from other forums do sign up just to create problems from time to time. The things trolls say on the internet most would not dare say to someone’s face.

Most of the old school pioneers of the Cobalt no longer have there cars but have amazing knowledge to share, not to mention people who might be interested in the car can still contribute general mechanical knowledge to the site. Yes non-Cobalt interested trolls who just cause problems but an open community of all car enthusies who contribute positively is something we should support not shun.
