Lack of owner admins

I know I'm new and my opinion doesn't really matter, lol, but the ones that kill me are when they bump an old thread just to say something was funny or add something else to the thread that is totally unnecessary. If they are bumping it with a legitimate question or answering something that has long gone unanswered, I get the bump. But I'd say about half of the old thread bumps since I joined a few months ago have been pointless.
I've searched and read a lot of old threads, its what I do. I've read some funny stuff or wanted to comment on what someone else said, but I bite my tongue because I know its not adding to the thread. Or if I do have something productive to say, I check to see if any of the people in that old thread are even still regular members, if they haven't signed in for the last couple years, why bother?

This site doesn't really receive and overwhelming amount of traffic. It's not like relevant posts are being drowned out by people reviving old threads. If we had a ton of new posts a day it could become a problem but as it sits it doesn't really even happen that often. How many new threads on average are started on this site every day? 3-5? If you see an old revived thread, just ignore it and it will slide back down into the abyss.

I'm on here nearly everyday, and try to get to everyone's PM's and issues.
Doesn't matter if I have my car or not, because the knowledge I have retained isn't going anywhere.
Some of the kiddies think being a mod is an easy job. Just clean this up, delete this, move this. Not that easy when you have multiple PM's a day requesting a multitude of different issues.

5 years ago, this would have a problem. I used to have pages of new posts to go through.
Now, we are lucky to have half a page of new posts per day.

One reason why I brought it up is that I think having mods contribute to threads it legitimizes the thread, helps steer the content, helps the rep of the site build etc etc. As i mentioned, I wasn't doubting anyone's knowledge retention. I know from experience that once you sell a car, you are much less motivated to engage in its discussion. To me, just the fact that only one mod actually owns the car that this site is about sends a message of apathy from administrators. I'm not applying for the job, but I think it's something to consider. At the moment it's kind of moot since the moderator tags aren't even showing up anymore.

A fresh set of admins would be nice! I've been visiting this site almost daily since 2011 I didn't even make a account till 2013 lol But it's true I don't see the amount of admins I use to simply because life, it happens. There are some new members the past year or so that have probably never even seen half of them active.
true that. I lurked on here since 2012...made my account 2013 or something....I have been on the fourms every week since. Recently everyday maybe 2 or 3 times a day
