Panjo

Hi guys, I have been getting a lot of complaints about Panjo lately. I to do not like the new classifieds. I brought this to the admins attention, and they asked me to make a thread to get some feedback from you guys. Please let me know your thoughts on how to either make Panjo better, or if we should just get rid of it all together. Please don't just say it sucks (I already know that, lol). Also, I added a poll, so we can get some votes. Thanks!

The previous system (using paypal mainly) worked fine, I have bought quite a few items using paypal and had no issues and sold things using paypal no issue. The few scammers that are/where on here still don't get anything if a paypal dispute is opened up. I don't see any reason to re-invent something. I haven't tried using the Panjo system yet although I have noticed it looks like you can only list one item per thread to use the system correctly, which would be a royal pain when doing a part out or selling collected parts when you get a new car

I voted to remove it. Its cumbersome and a PITA to list more than 1 item at a time. although it does help cut down on scammers cause it has your paypal information already there.

Panjo is bullshit.

It pissed me off when I PM'ed Staged07SS before anyone else (a minute after he made a thread) to ask about the builder of a product, then told him I would buy it. First came, first with cash. I lost the item because as we PM'ed some one was able to click Buy and it sold. That is not a very fair feature in my opinion as every forum I have been on is first come first serve, Panjo eliminates that.

Futhermore, its bullshit because you cant list multiple items. It gives one buy button so any other item in the thread gets left out. If we have to list items individually NO ONE is ever going to do any sort of part out on here when they sell their cars. Imagine parting out and having to make 40 threads in the marketplace to sell you items. I calculated it takes about 2 minutes to breeze through the Panjo process; even a 20 parts part out would take 40 minutes alone just to list. Plus, you cant bulk upload your photos from a 3rd party site either.

Im disappointed in the system and I have only used it twice so far. It needs SOOOOOOOO much more work done to it before its ready to be mainstreamed into these forums.

=====edit=====
I have now used it a third time and I am still disappointed. I secured a buyer for my item via PM and some one else clicked Buy. Luckily it was not linked to my Paypal so they couldnt pay. I closed the thread manually. I was getting a Canada post shipping code for a buyer via PM when this happened.

Ditch it. You can't fix something that isn't broken. The Classifieds were fine before Panjo came around.

THIS essentially, seeing 10 threads that could have been one is the main problem, plus those who say, had a question about the item, could get underdogged by someone who simply clicks buy. i loved it the way it was, never had any issues with atleast 50-60 transactions on here.

i mean we can keep it for the people who like it, BUTTT not make it mandatory cuz it is a royal pain in the ass to list multiple things and the fact that shipping amount is mandatory is soo stupid.

I have a lot of stuff to sell, but not here, not with Panjo.

I'm seeing it change people's prices, delete pictures and descriptions, and other things it should never do. As long as Panjo is here I'll be using Facebook to sell my stuff.

Didn't read everybody's responses, but I'd assume they'd be like mine..

Had a hard time setting up my car's for sale thread, versus just being able to use a rich text editor, like for normal text posts. Panjo itself is just clumsy. I can see where it would be "user friendly" but anybody that knows how to upload pictures on their own can make a better for sale thread just using the normal post editor.

It has stopped me from making a handful of ads lately (forsale/wanted) just because I find it inconvenient.

Panjo is a horrible name.

With that out of the way....i agree with pretty much everyone's response. It sucks. People clicking buy while there's negotiations happening is something that would definitely **** me off. I won't be listing anything for sale here until panjo gets removed lol. Well I sell most of my stuff locally but still...

Im on the bandwagon with the others, its a hassel, and someone can snipe it out from under you before you verify it is exactyl what you need. leave it as an option for those who want the no BS first with money gets it approach, and let us others go the way we used to.

Payapl still will hear your claim. im awaitng my money back from someone still, but paypal is aware

I don't get it. We don't have to use Panjo because I've seen it here for a while but I listed my part out thread in the regular classifieds anyway and I'm doing it old school . I've sold 4 going on 5 parts in the classified in the past 2 weeks with no Panjo

If I ever wanted to part out it couldn't be done on here, there's no way I'm making that many threads.

I just made a for sale thread last week, and it forced me to use panjo.

I just don't get why they made it mandatory, if they ever make it a good system then people can choose to use it.

They recently implemented it to being mandatory.

Can you change the vote you made after voting for presient? No.

The funny thing is I figured some people wouldn't read when I saw the thread and choose the wrong thing.
