Because this forum is a private forum requiring membership and therefore does not fall under the freedom of speech act. Just like how a strip club in ohio is not allowed to legally be fully nude but a simple $10 membership fee and business card that says member #_____ gets around that law by making it a private club.

Ive had friends killed in street racing, its not worth the risk. To the drivers, the passengers, or the innocent drivers on the street.
fupa is a tool bag bro but he keeps it interesting. I dont mind guys that are a bunch of characters and say crazy ****. I love that. If we were stuck with a bunch of strict ass ****'s who got mad everytime a thread slightly veered off track i wouldnt check this forum or get half as much laughs out of it. A few tool bags here and there are aight as long as there not hurting anyone
Freedom of speech....isn't that one of our freedoms you army/marine/navy guys are protecting? Why not ban all posts and threads talking about anything illegal, i.e., customizing your car(many mods are against the law), pot, **** sex, underage drinking, video games where you kill other people....
uhmm yah, how it used to be was terrible, there was one period of time when this site was great. people were still figuring out the cobalt and the community was growing. a lot of the b.s. that happens on here now didn't exist, and it had nothing to do with the moderators, there were more important things to discuss ie..can you run a 2.8 with 42's etc etc. for the last 2 years its been terrible here.
i voted to keep the war stories section cause i believe it is a huge part of the gearhead culture.

we should probably have the favourite fast and furious quotes thread deleted too because those movies promote street racing and we don't want people condoning that on this site by talking about it..

FTR the lounge area is not going away. That would just be insane. Us wanting to get rid of the war stories section is not to prevent people from street racing. It's simply to prevent people from posting that on the site. We realize people will do stupid things if they want to. Just don't post that stupid **** on this site. Go find another forum to post your story.

My mind is made up but this isn't my site. The owners said it's up to the mods since we are the ones that have to deal with all the bullshit and we decided to get the opinions of the members. We are trying to find middle ground here.

My premium membership just ended and to tell the truth as it stands right now i won't be renewing. All this dumb censorship and now you are taking away the war stories section? dumb. I realize that a lot of the posts are dumb and offer no significance but you have to realize who your audience is. These are mostly a bunch of 18-21 year old kids who think they have fast cars. You guys are trying to turn this forum into something it's not. And I say this with all respect but you better watch what youre doing with all of these changes. You aren't the only business in town, if you know what i mean
