then this is a mute point...y just remove it from there....i say leave it there....orrrrr put two, one of lounge/ dungeon posts, and one of other posts...two post counts.....that way we know if they have been around, but we can get an idea of if they are actually usefull or not
unless its in the 2.4 tech section

But you would still have access to the number if you needed to use it for "transactions" in the Classified section by keeping it in there user profile

if i'm going to buy something from someone here, i will look at past posts/threads he's made. i'll then do a search under his real name and his SN. look at how active he/she's been and pm any members that would know him personally. he/she HAS to have a verified paypal account and of course have pics of what's they are selling w/ something proving that those are his pics and not somebody else's. that's just me though.

i think that there should be some type of sellers and buyers reputation.. not flawed like the previous rep system, but say something like you pm a mod about a seller or buyer to tell them if they are bad or good along with a link to the thread or copy of the pm (to ensure that it is a legitimate sale/buy and rep)

Because, it would curb the over-value people put into a stupid number that only shows if a member likes to post alot or not. Could help with the "OMG N00B SEARCH TOOL!!!!" and the theory that if a member is new/low post count they don't know what they are talking about.
But you would still have access to the number if you needed to use it for "transactions" in the Classified section by keeping it in there user profile

yea i agree reign..i hate those guys that are like "OMG USE THE SEARCH TOOL" ...they know the answer and yet dont answer it for a new guy..possibly turning new dude off from this site..

But again, I am not suggesting we remove the post count, I am suggesting we stop counting posts in the Lounge/Dungeon

could you make two seperate post counts? one for tech threads and one for other? or one for dungeon/lounge and one for everthing else.
we could have post count and ***** count
i dunno, decision either way won't affect me any. if i need something, i know who the people are that i need to go to. i think noobs actually learn pretty quick on this site. i remember when i had questions, i had people either tell me who to ask, or point me into the right direction. the how to section on this site is phenomenal as well.
point being... post count to me is an indicator of how active you are on the site, not how knowledgable you are. any individual with an IQ of 80 should know that you need to do research on your own as well as get opinions from others. going soley based on the opinion of an individual(s) and being lazy about the process is quite stupid and you should reep the consequences of said stupidity.
keep the post count. its nice to know who is active and who isn't. even the 10k+ ****** who are active on here 90% of the time to chit chat do contribute. they're the ones that find these and post feedback faster.
and its nice to know i get a lil something in return for my random threads about eating a whole can of pringles

i use post count a bit when ibuy off the classifiesd, if the count aint up eough, andf i see the history of the post and what they is a bit off, i dont buy, i noticeed that when i saw a FS/ft thread about a dc sports catback someone wanted to sell/trade for a 2.5' well i offered my megan, and he wanted me to send him mine, i didnt even get a pic of his, no nothin, i was like umm, no, i went back to look at all hi threads, almost all in the classifies, none ever showed a buyer, and none ever had pics, i think classifieds must have pics, must, no exceptions...
