but that has no affect on the performance of the page itself. If the page was 1280x2048 or 1280x4096 it won't matter if all the content is the same. You will have to scroll a bit but the performance will be the same.

i dont really see a point to limiting sigs, if your internets slow its going to be slow. and i miss his sig really made my day some times

i agree that slower connections are just that ... slower but what I am getting at is if sigs could be 150px high in size less than 100kb it won't make a difference for anyone even if the sig was 400px high in size and still less than 100kb.

they have, but that is regardless, for those that have it on (and i do cause when scrolling through fast its how i identify people and it give me info on them sometimes), it is too much, keep it to specs or go home...

if we all kept things to specs noone would mod their cars. If we all go to 100px most won't care about being creative with their sigs. It is just too small in some cases.

how did this turn into internet speed? 
look up the old "what speed do you have" always less than 1% was dialup. so 99% of people have faster than dialup speed.
i agree with the fact that if you have a large sig, it's annoying to have it take up half the screen, scroll down and again take up half the screen down the whole page.
