So, I had my downpipe repaired yesterday. After 6 years of use, it broke above the flex pipe. Anyway, once the shop had the downpipe off the car, they noticed something very odd. The catalytic converter was missing!. Somehow it was blown out the exhaust without damaging the muffler or clogging the exhaust! I have been driving w/o the converter for a few years and still passing emissions !!

 

Does your state perform a tailpipe sniffer test?

I've passed emissions being catless, but PA doesnt perform a tailpipe sniffer test.

 

I'm wondering how you didn't throw a 420 code
