about dallas raceway...that is a very nice track. besides being closer to other people, it hooked better than texas motorplex this summer. i work with a guy that lives very close to the track. and rumor has it...rich christensen showed up last thursday, and was very impressed with the way the track was ran and presented. there is supposed to be a pinks all out there in october. if so, it might be a good chance for you to check out the track.

i'm tellin you, its a damn nice track!!

ennis' track was awesome. and fwiw... the people that come from htown, sa, and austin tremendously outnumber the dallas people. 5 hrs for a bash is a long drive.

I hate that what your saying is the truth, but trust me, there are a few DFW guys that are busting ass trying to gather the DFW guys together and get some things started, look for DFW to make a decent showing at the bash.

i think i was trying to say i prefer that track because of quality...not distance. but, thanks for reading into that. like i said, it's a very nice track and a lot more intimate than ennis. you're closer to the track, byob, and brand new facilities.

regardless, you can't make a bad decision out of the two. i just suggest that some of you guys show up if they really have pinks all out there.

so far i hear a lot of great ideas: bikini contest, track trophies, more vendor booths, etc. As far as vendor booths go, Scott, I know you guys have been working with crate engine depot for a while. Why not try and get them to actually set something by? Hell, why don't you have them be the vendor that hooks us up with the axles and anything else we might need as far as essentials (oil filters, s/c oil, air filters, oil--for the girls and the cars, lol)? Just an idea. Is it possible to get somebody from Hahn? I know that would a wish list of mine. Maybe they could bring one of their rides down for the show too.

I think the weather had allot to do with not as many DFW guys showing up at the bash. When you live that close and the weathers bad you don't tend to commit like if you drive over 200miles. Some of us that went really, REALLY thought hard about not coming when we stepped out the door that morning.

I have tried to put together several meets and no one wants to go unless its right next to there house. I have been trying to schedule a dyno meet for almost a year now with no more than like 1-2 people interested. I can get a killer deal on the dyno time as well and still nothing!

Anyway I hope next years bash will better than ever with much better weather!

Hey, I am dedicated to it. I live 20 mins from ennis, I never miss a meet there. If my car were up and running right now, I wouldve made the last meet that the DFW had, Im definitely working hard to make it to the DFW dyno day scheduled for the 11th.

Im dedicated, ive been to all the L.S. bash's!

Ive driven to Ok for a meet, alone.

Ive been to a few meets south as well Austin Houston and SA, esp when i had the sunfire. A couple of those i drove down there just for the meet. We meet at Brents(bladed cav) shop i assisted in getting together, Got us our own J class at a show down that way, the lg J picnic bash we had, Eric's mod day where i tore my front body kit up, LOL. Use to have mod days once a month at my house for a good while.

Every since the Tx's J split its next to impossiable to get ones to meet. Like RBC said if its not in some peoples backyard they dont want to meet up. In the same boat as RBC ive made some of his meets he got togehter and he's been to alot of the ones i put together but we would only have a sm handful show up though me and him would drive on the other side of town.
