Car caught on fire!!!!
This happened on saturday night
I had just change the oil in the car, took it for a ride down the street about 1 mile, I was just cruising and not even getting on it when smoke come out under the hood, turn into a street to pop the hood, and flames shot out, I called 911 and fire trucks showed up, but the damage was done, I'm ok and lucky nobody was with me.
Engine compartment is melted and burnt and I'm sure the car will be totaled, when the insurance company looks at it.
Sad night for me, but I will be ok
Only had the car for about two months.
R.I.P.

sorry to hear about that one man, my buddy has a silver srt-4 and those cars are great cars. it sucks to see that had happened especially considering you only had it for two months and that happened.
i don't see them calling it anything but totalled but maybe you'll be able to go out and find another one with the insurance money if they don't screw you over like they tend to

I bet you can get a bunch of Cobalt SS/SC guys to line up against you now...........
So any idea what kind of car you are going to replace it with? No 06-07 Neons.......

thanks for the comments guys, I guess it was just one of those things that happpens, I really don't know what or how it caught on fire.
There were alot of aftermarket parts in that car, the previous owner had put into it.
I'm just going to wait and see what the insurance company is going to do, I am just going to wait until the end of oct, and see what my options are as far as purchasing another car,
but I do have three in mind,
SRT-4
COBALT SS/SC
EVO
thanks again everyone, and always carry a fire extinguisher in your cars.
