Denton sighting

I was in Denton at the PB plant on business this past week and spotted an ss/sc on I35E. Had tinted windows and a "Got Boost?" sticker on the window. Definately like the tint and am probably gonna get it for my black ss/sc too. Hadn't seen a black one with tint in person yet.

From how many active threads there are in this section there must be a ton of cobalts in the area. There are hardly any up here in WA.

That was my first visit to Texas. Gotta say I'm not a big fan of the whole access/frontage road thing. Seems like such a pain in the ass to get to certain places, go an exit past and then come back the other way on the access road...

Let me tell you, dont let denton make you think texas highways are all like that. 35 here in denton sucks hard. But once you get used to them, it really isnt bad.

Never thought that it would be colder when I got to Texas than it was in Washington. First night I was there you had freezing rain that I had to scrape my rental out of and then a couple days later it snowed... I just hope it's warmer next I come down there.

Trust me, that was totally and completely out of the norm. Very strange bout of weather we had there. But i'm not complaining, it got me out of school/work

Oh yeah? I know what you mean man, my car is still grey from all the damned salt from the snow...

Are you going out to grapevine this weekend?
Also, where'd you get your tint done at? I've been trying to find a good place, but I want a referral, instead of just finding some random shop...

i think its called "Denton Tint". im pretty sure thats it. you go north on 35 and exit Ft. Worth Dr. in Denton. turn right and its about a 1/4 mile down in some little warehouse things. very easy to miss it. i got it done for $200. its $170 if you keep all tint 30% or higher. i went with limo on the back windows so i got charged a little extra, but i got a lifetime warranty on it so it was worth the money. if you really are interested in this place, i can get the number for you, its in my car with the receipt.

im very happy with it and it only took a hour. they even gave me a ride to my class and picked me up. it was done when i came back.

How did they do the back window with the dots? Did they tint over them?

yeah they went over it. it all looks good except for one little section of those dots in the back. i have to go back to them when it warms up so that its easier for them to get it pressed down. the cold weather doesnt help them much. i dont think they can use a heat gun due to melting the tint. they also said if i wanted to, i could just put a black out strip on the top of the back window since you cant see through the dots anyway. kinda like how they do the front windows on some cars. i can do either option... just need the warm weather back.

Good to know, I wasn't sure what to tell them about the dots. I think it would look lame if you didn't tint over them.

i have had the tint since november. still looks really good with a very smooth, clean appearance. the place is actually called "Denton Auto-Tint" and its a little yellow sign on the side of the building. i think that i will keep the entire back window as limo tint rather than using a black out strip at the top. this will keep it all looking the same.
