You guys have got to come and check out this meet. There's a live DJ, free drinks (energy not alkies), and at least about 120 cars showing.

Try to make it this Monday Night. Try to get there at 8:30pm. so you can park with the Texas Js. Parking lot is huge but fills up pretty quick.

That looks fun. I wish it was on a Friday night or something. Sure makes it hard to get my ass up at 4:30 am on Tuesday. Wish I could bring the cobalt and the E30, decisions, decisions...

 

If you check j-body.org which the link is here too. May be you can make your way over with the J-bodies that come from Arlington, Ft Worth, Burleson, etc.
They all meet in Arlington, I think by 360/I-30 by some McDonalds.

I go to the meets in Ft Worth, Arlington Burleson, and other places that are far away for me because I live in North Dallas close to Plano and I have to get up at 2:30am 7 days a week.

I guess that's why although this meet is every Monday, we only go every other Monday so it's not tough on everybody coming all the way over and they leave around 11:00pm.

Think about it dude, It's prolly the best meet you'll find in DFW, I guarantee that!


Anywho, hope yall can make it but don't sweat it if it's not possible. There's always next time. This meet has been going on for some time but in Mesquite. It just got bigger and relocated in Addison.

 

Yeah the site Ricekiller.Com (RKC) and the meets are organized by my friend Jared, and he is awesome at what he does. I really need to make it out to one of his meets... RKC is also sponsoring the DFW Summer Autofest on July 22nd at Pennington Field in Bedford.

 

This is cool if I'm not dropping the car off to get the new car bugs worked out I will be there. heck might take the loaner up there anyway lol.

 

Yeah. I think we are entering some of the Js too. Yall should try to make it.



And As far as tonight, We should be there saving some spots at 8:30pm. So anybody going just park where you see J-bodies. We are the only Js there so ya know it's us.

Now a beef... Where the heck were the other Cobalt's? I was in the ONLY balt at the event. Even bone stock I had some walkby's and admirers. Gotta say that was pretty damn cool.

Anyway more folks need to turn out for this! Would be great to have a strong cobaltss.net showing.

It was a HUGE meet Drives2fast4u. 250+ cars? Lots of folks to talk to. Pretty fun. Even if the bikes were annoying.

 

I didn't make it because it was long day at work and just a bad night of the week for me. I'll try some other time.

 

Yeah I know, they've had over 300 cars before. And yes everyone thinks the bikes are annoying, they don't know how to get them to go away.

Though some very cool bikes did show... ok well one. A Skittles Hiyabusa. Very smooth looking bike.

The other problem was the bike guys revving hard and two stupid guys on minibikes doing stunts drawing the ire of the local pd.

 

I should have said some of the bikes, a few of them are actually members of RKC and are cool. But there are always the a**clowns who have to ruin it for everybody. In fact Jared asked them to stop messing around one night and one of the bikers came up and slapped him in the face.

 

Wow.. just... wow. That is uncool. And the community didn't eek out any kind of punishment... you know by having a large 4wd run over the bike?

 

Yeah Jared was really hurt (not physically) especially because it's his meet ya know.. but the guy left right after that. There's nothing really anyone can do, they don't want fights breaking out all the time or anything to get the meet cancelled, and as of right now they can't afford any professional security people (of duty police).

 

Yea that still sucks though.

I can't be at it tonight I hope a cobalt or two show up to represent as it were!
