DFW stage upgrade installs ?!?!?!

ok, i have called jupiter, young, and showcase... out of those three, the only one that will do it is young, but i have called them twice without a return call for price of install...

does anyone know a gm dealer that will install this damn kit?

if not i'll be doing it myself. getting rather annoyed.

not much, steering/suspension, brakes, and engine performance....needed two of them, never went back to take others as they don't make me any more cash and for the price...to me its not worth it. my dealer rather see me being prius certified, and having the a full solid transcript... i know ase's pushed more in certain area's and some actually get a raise for doing them, not here..lol.

prius cert got me 3 bucks for a raise, ase's got me 0 and a bill to pay. lol

oh yea, no church for me.

think i got it finally...

why would i be scared? scared was being with toyota for 2 weeks and being handed a ticket for a sludge motor... that was years ago. injectors and pressing a pulley on would be the last of worries for me to install on this vehicle. specially when i have a press and all the tools i would need. your not talking to a quick lube kid. i want to keep my warr by going through a gmpp parts installing dealer... why not do that? spend a few bucks for the security in case of something happening. i won't be doing major mods to this car anyway.

hard to sense sarcasm or cockiness over the internet.

Ok. I dont think I would go to James Wood again for this. For some reason the fluid levels in my intercooler and engine coolant are both low... Engine temp seems normal though, so I'm just going to top that off.

Second... This one is just annoying... they didnt take the old pulley off right. They basically didnt clamp down on the supercharger correctly, so there are a few small divets on the snout of my charger now. Just cosmetic, but annoying.

Third, and this one kind of pissed me off...
They didnt tighten either hose clamp on the intake leading up to the charger. They were both just kind of hangin out. Thank GOD the hose didn't come off or anything on the way home.

Oh yeah, and they didnt give me the tools back if I wanted to change the pulley.

Take this into consideration.

the coolant levels are low because the steam crossover tube has to be remove to get the injectors out, it should only be very slightly low tho...not much came out when you take the banjo nut off

i have a set of the STRX gm bits, so you can holla at me if you ever need it removed/retorqued

I got the bits back today, just had to ask twice. Thanks for the explanation on the coolant levels. They are both a little low, just under the min lines, so I am going to top them off tonight. All in all, I guess I slammed them a little hard, it was their first install. Just really peeved me about the bits when i didnt get them back, because I specifically asked for the parts back.

Hmmmm...."years ago?" Apparently, you aren't aware of the 2003 and 2004 Toyota engine oil sludge cases, are you? Toyota's engine oil problem seems to be affecting some later model vehicle owners in much the same way as the previous sludge victims. The same story is being told...denial of warranty claims and blame for poor maintenance. Very interesting, huh?

Check out the petition to see what Toyota sludge victims are going through. Note that there are more sludge victims who own other model and model years than mentioned in the CSP.

When will the Toyota engine oil sludge matter be properly resolved?

I found a place in Garland the other day for tuning it's called Exatorq tuning. I was just wondering if anyone has heard of them or tried them out yet? They have a web site www.exatorq.com I talked to them via email and told them that I have GM Stage II, CAI, and exhaust and he told me that he could get another 18-25whp out of it with a dyno tune for $400. Didn't sound like to bad of a deal to me this includes $25 updates for life. I live in Tyler so I'm really not close enough to check it out in person. He said that they just moved into a new shop and the dyno should be ready to go sometime the beginning of Feb.

i don't need to see the petition, i see the vehicles every week on almost every model, from early 90 4-runners to a 06 corolla 1zz that i did last month. 75% of the sludge motors that we see have been owner caused and at least 30-40% of the cars still come in with the oil change sticker that states its been 15-20k miles since there last oil change. two months ago we had a woman come in and complain that 11 months ago she had a warranty sludge job done... now her oil light was once again coming on....guess what, since that sludge job she never chained the oil, it was almost 27k miles since her last oil change... she took the car with a wrecker and put it up for sale. there are a ton of stories like this that i can state... i don't truely see a problem with the motors, i see a problem with the owners. i think its funny how employee's have avalon's camry's, 4runners with 100-200k miles, even motors with the campaign...yet when they pull a valvecover...it barely has any gel issues.

I can do stage two installs for folks and tuning in Lewisville. I have the tune files and HPtuners. It costs $100 for credits to load the tune. I will do the install and tuning for $200. I will including driving logs. I can do custom tuning too if you like, I can do anything from mild to wild. Shoot me a PM. I also just found out I can buy these kits pretty cheap through GM if anyone needs one.
