I'm new to the forums... just got my cobalt last thursday in fact! it's a 2006 ls coupe... 2.2L manual transmission! not the most impressive thing out there... but i plan on working on it! i was actually saving to buy a better car at the end of the year... like the SS/SC... however my other car broke down and i was forced into buying a new vehicle earlier than expected! anyways... the main reason for this thread is that i was wondering if there were any meets in the Fort Worth area.. and if so, when and where? i live out towards weatherford area and fort worth would be the best place for me to drive to for a meet... nobody i know over here would be dedicated enough for one... thanks for any information that anyone can offer me!

come to one of our dallas meets every sat or sometimes thurs!

 

thanks alot man... i'll definitely try to make it out to one of the dallas meets when i get a chance... i just don't know when that will be! the reason i was asking if there was one in fort worth was because that would be a little easier for me! the drive to dallas for me is somewhere close to 2 hours or so... maybe a little more... and with college work and everything it makes things a little more difficult for me to make a longer drive! but like i said... i will definitely try to make it! and i was reading earlier that y'all had meets in arlington as well... that would be a little better for me if you do have one there since it is a little closer! if you do have a meet in arlington please let me know when it is and where it is! hit me up and let me know when you meet, where, and what time! thanks alot bro!

there are races in ft worth at 820 and beach street i believe. i hear they get pretty big out there, no cop problems either. they meet up in a parking lot out there somewhere and then go to defferent spots to race. i just found out about it last night...

 

that's a negative on 820 and beach, ft. worth police watch that **** hard. ever since the railhead accident, the ft. worth racing scene has been sparse.

 

Do they still meet on Thursdays? I haven't heard much about any meets. The last one I went to was pretty much dead...........

 

i hear you on the 820 and beach... used to watch my friend race out there all the time, but ever since the railhead accident cops have been all over that ****! last time we were out there i think we got swarmed with about 10 cop cars... it was pretty crazy!

 

Everyone still goes there to hang out, they just don't race as much. Nor do they race near there, like Evan said they set the rules and go elswhere to run. But it's still a big meeting place after like 11.
