I need some advice.

I'm in a delima on what I should do about my work. I work for Discount Tire co as a Assitant manger. I'm starting to get really tired of all the work dram between stores in the dallas area. We have over 60 in dallas alone. My uncle has been asking me to move to texarkan to work at his store in the same postion. That means I would have to move. What is the best advice you guys can give me. The pay will be the same and the cost of living will be cheaper. The only down side is there. I would have to drive into arkansa to buy beer. I couldnt go to the store on the texas side cause its dry. Bad deal for me.

Just transfer and move to the fort worth area. It is close to Dallas, cheaper to live, and theres beer every where. Just IMO.

Come on dude, beer should be the least of your problems, if beer is keeping you at a store that you hate then your work drama isnt your only problem

If she is your ex and she doesn't want to be with you. Let her stay your ex, transfer to another store to refocus on the picture

I you think you can work with your uncle and don't mind making the beer runs then move. Otherwise transfer a least to get a little change.

Mark, just a little input. It's illegal to cross state lines with alcohol in the car. And I voted for the Dallas transfer.

Well on one hand, a move sounds like it could be good, but on the other hand working for family isn't always the greatest. Transfer first, see how it goes. If it's still not what you want, then go try things out with your uncle.

I'm having a harder time making my decision now. My mother is in the hospital. She is going to have a triple by pass on her heart on monday. I was in Texarkana today and drove all the way back. I'm for sure going to move to and work with my uncle.

After I voted to move, I read this, and he is right. I worked for a friend, and the job sucked, and you can't approach them the same way you would some other guy...

Think hard, and reflect on it.
