Would anyone be up to it, i need a list of people that would be comming to it and mabey some ideas on where we could meet

 

if its a sunday or something i might be down for this we should have a photo shoot at the capital that would be some nice photos

 

i might be interested, depends if any non locals show i already know most of the local cobalts thru juan

 

idk if juan will be there if so im gonna rip my grill off his car but you know how he is, he might show he might not

i can see what i can do i dont know of anywhere off hand that has a good view of the capital that we can park and take pics so we would have to get on the capital grounds to do that and good luck with that

 

yeah ive only seen it from a distance i was on a feild trip to a state wrestling match and saw it on the highay i belive but if he could just find a place with a higher ground and the capital in the background or something would make cool photos

 

done took photos there at tha cap. they come out sweet!!!! better during the sunset to get pics. i have a couple of spots to take some good shots.

but yall should just wait till FEB. 28 the club im in is throwing a statewide car show. its for all GM small cars.....like cavaliers, cobalts, hhrs, sunfires, redlines, solstices and sky. also having a afterparty after tha show.

saw pics a vids from the last time he tried this.....didnt look good at all. tha show will be ten times better. plus its at a 1/4 mile track.....lots of fun

cant get on tha grounds....since it is guarded by state troopers plus i know the perfect spot.

 

hey bobby this isnt a state wide meet its just an austin area meet and the state meet wasnt to good because of bad planning and people wanting to change stuff in the middle of the day like where we were gonna cruz and photo shot at

 

havent you seen all the austin balts. they are mostly in centex. o cept a few . whats tha point in a austin only meet. then just go to the south austin meet....since most cobys go saturday nights to 620

 

im taking austin, roundrock, San Marcos, Georgetown, Bastrop, Giddings, you know what im saying anyone within about 50 miles of ausitn cause thats only like an hours drive, that kind of meet see how many people we can get and it whould be nice to have all the cobalts in one place at one time you know what i mean

 

well sorry if i was misunderstood...but why not just have a meet at the 620 area......that would be better, since there is alot of deltas and jbodies. could make it a weekly or monthly thing......if i have time between school and work ill try and make it

 

I believe that happened for the same reason it will happen again. You aren't taking control of this meet from the very start. You should just form a game plan behind the scenes and post it when you have all the details worked out. It's your meet, your rules, your location, etc. Trust me man, if you 'build' it they will attend in large, massive amounts. Good luck dewd. I bet some of the Houston guys would even be down for it again. We gotta support our fellow texans

 

Me and my friend are going to austin or san antonio this weekend. But maybe a lil to soon for this meet.

 

well the austin area balts meet in round rock(austin) on saturday nights..starting at 6pm...if your in town..hope we see you

 

see thats the think not all the austin area balts meet there there are at least 3 or for ss down here in south austin that dont go up there but there is a pretty big meet up there i just wanna get all the austin area cobalts together for a group day you know what i mean

actually they have been to the south meet a couple of times. only 1 ss/sc black one i think. they even tried recuiting him....but there is another meet i heard at school. its some where on 290 near a randalls i think. but the majority of cobalts meet up on 620.....but giddings, san marcos, georgetown and bastrop isnt considered austin

wardzach2007- you should come to the meet on 620 this weekend if your in austin. like section8 said, casue we are the largest gm small car club in austin. mainly cavies, cobalts, sunfires....we even have a ss/tc

 

this isn't your thread and the OP has clearly told you that they want to meet at a specific spot. if you don't agree w/ the spot then don't post.

 

in all honesty...it was pretaining to the op....he didnt have a place....he dont have any info.....i told him why not just go to the main meets in austin....he use to be a centex club member so he knew of the meets that go on....i know he tattled, but if he would have read further i apologized and even everyone else said that there was a meet at 620 just like me.....HOW COME THEY DIDNT GET A WARNING, BOUT OFF TOPIC POST???????

see dc5....there was no info of any kind. till i said go to the 620 meet since thats were all the austin cobalts go. whats wrong with that. i cant state a fact.

THATS B/S. i gave him a location which darrion lacked....i letted him know i know spots to take pics. which he wanted....he was the one gettin pissed. cause he was bumped outta tha club and dont want to make the trip there were all cobys meet. i dont see any harm in that

well i made it to the austin meet, very good crew, i only hung out with them once before, nice cars...i posted pics in the other picture thread...

 

Yea, if you guys want to come down and hang out with a lot of cobalts/LSJs head over to 620/I-35 on Saturday evening. It's really informal, but there's always 4-5 local cars, plus random people who just happen to show up like the silver TC guy.

We're also planning on heading down to SAR on Sept 20th, and anyone who wants to is more than welcome to come.
