I wanted to ask this in the Texas forum because you all know the weather and temps down here. In Central Texas would a SRI or CAI work better. Also if I got an SRI could you not mold an aluminum half shell to block the engine heat? Sorry about this stupid question but I have NO mechanical skills.

 

i live in El Paso and it gets hotter down here then Austin. i dont think it really matters which you choose. i havnt been to Austin in a while but i know it rains way more then here (we get like 1% chance of rain a year). as far as intake heat i dont think either will matter. not too sure on the half shell
