what the hell is the purpose of a case relearn?

 

crank sensor relearn....because i changed my pcm its not 100% sure of where the crank shaft is positioned....my car will start an all that just kinda sounds like its cammin a little and if i go WOT than just all of a sudden let off the car will die so i need to get a crank relearn from either GM, a newer intercetpor, a firehawk??, or HP tuner

 

wierd. ive changed the tune on my car about 10 times and havent had any problem like that.

 

because he took the stock pcm out and put in the pcm that ott sent him.

yeah i still got the old one don't have time to send it out yet but either way once u unplug the PCM an than plug one back in u need a Case relearn

ok i found the case learn on the hptuners. i am heading up there friday so if u wanna wait till then we can try it. wont cost anything bc i am not unlocking ur car. this is the scanner that tells u the cels and so forth.

 

but i'd still have to unlock my car on your HP Tuner wouldn't i?

 

the vcm editor is different from the vcm scanner. scanner tells u the problems with the cars like engine diognostics and such, editor is when u unlock ur car and write programs to it

 

so no need to unlock that'd be awesome

Anthony have you looked into getting a wide band? I would feel alot more confterable running someone elses tune that way.
+ im curious about AFR and KR and timing.
