Why buy 4 sticky tires when all you need is 2 sticky tires? When you think you'll need them, throw them on, use them, then put your other wheels back on.
The mustang dudes do it all the time. Let's be like them!
very good idea.. i have thought of it but i plan on selling my stockers.. actually i have them sold just waiting to him.
I have enough right here to buy them

OMG I just came in my pants!!!!!!!!!!

the new axels are in. i was at a redlight and it turned green and let the cars get ahead of me. then eased the clutch out where i was ideling and as soon as the cars got far enough ahead of me i stomped the gas. the tires did spin their ass off and honestly they feel smoother then the stockers did. spun for a minute till i ran out of first gear. smooth smooth smooth, like a babies butt!!
I would think that you got lucky the way it broke off be cause if that axle broke off on the other side and the tranny was still spinning that loose pipe could have been tearing up all kinds of **** under there.
I bet when that thing broke off ur car and differental was making all kinds of noise.. Does yours have the LSD?

my car does have lsd supprizingly i felt the axel snap but didnt think nothing of it. as far as it hitting anything never heard that at all. then again i never really gave it gas cuz the way everything happened i didnt need to go fast. i actually thought i broke my transmission rather than an axel so i was lucky that all i broke was my axel.

The way that shaft broke is very common. Ever broke a bolt while tightening it? Rung the head off of one because you tightened it too much? The same thing happens there. That's exactly what it should look like.
The new axles are made of the same metal. The only difference is that they are tempered. Tempered means they're heated, which makes them stronger. The stronger the shaft, the higher torque they can hold.

Basically it just twisted the shaft. The transmission was spinning fast than the tire, and the result is the clean "twist" break that we see. Same thing happens everytime someone elses axles breaks. Except it just breaks in the weakest point of the axle.
That clean of a break means that it is good strong metal. If you can see where the metal is twisted or the shaft looks twisted itself other than the break point the metal is no good. Your car is just a beast.
I broke a tranny with no power mods ftw. Drive it like you stole it.
