I could do it all day long. Don't think I won't serve for my family. I could care less about this country. I may move to Canada one day. I've thought about it for a long time. I hear it's pretty country up there. I like pretty country. And cold. And women.

Sorry Adam.

Hey guys i Have not been on in a while school has been whipping my ass recently. my summer break was offically 2 weeks off of school all year. fun huh? This semster seems less promising as far as work goes. But i would still like to try to get out everyonce in a while if i can. just trying to hit yall up and see if there are any happenings (meets, ect) on the horizon. If there is no crazy amounts of homework/test for me to do i am always down for ride for a meet/bbq one sunday ect.

Hey guys, Figured i would give you all a shot at trying to figure out waht has been going wrong with my car...

Backstory: two saturdays ago i was on my way home from Sam's Club with the g/f. going to kenner from Laplace (15 miles give or take all highway) i had no problems. i was making 75 and in 5th gear. on the 2.4 i was right under 3k on the tachometer. Then with about a mile of interstate to go before i get home the car starts to sputter or jerk. it is not consistant, it varies in strenght and duration. the g/f and i look at eachother to make sure we are not crazy and we both feel it. i down shift to fourth and it pulls normal. when i up shift again it starts to do the suputter thing again. it feels like no loss of power the rpm stay on point and dont bounce around, i am not hearing any wierd noises, ect. just the wierd jerk.

so i get my dad we take a ride he feels it as well. deduce that it could be an injector problem or a bad batch of fuel. The g/f dad says the same thing and he is a mechanic at a local shop. so we change the fuel filter and i am currently (as of this post on my 4th tank since this problem started). but the problem remains. so the g/f's father and i look at the car change the spark plugs. i have cleaned out the throtle body (it was pretty clean to begin with but i did it anyway). i cleaned my air filter on my injen CAI. I have also already used injector cleaners through the system. The car only has 50k miles on it and it is an 06.

the plug on the # 4 piston was the most burnt... in comparison to the other 3 but we changed all 4 out just to be sure. The car revs up fine when not under load and even accelerating though the gears i feel nothing substancial. it seems to be when i am at or above 3k rpms the car sputters/jerks/ ect.

now of course every bump in the road i am wondering if the car is screwing up on me (and here in southern louisiana we have some of the worst roads in the country. ie the ground sinks and the roads are inclinde to go with them. so it is pot hole city. and because of this we have to use concrete not blacktop).

The car is not throwing the Check Engine Light either. so the million dollar question is what the hell is wrong or going wrong with my car. our next guess is that the coil on one of the plugs is arcing out (guess is the #4) or there is a problem with one of the sensors. Those problems should throw the CEL but at this point i am at a loss.

Any ideas or anyone who has heard of or had this problem please help.

Thx Juan

We have already checked the vac lines they r good. I posted in another section aswell someone said possibly the coil is messed up and it is sparking at the wrong point in the pistion cycle. We will see tomorrow I will have to take it to the shop and have them do a resistivity test on the coils. I will keep u all posted

check for a knick in the wires going to the coil packs too. might be grounding out the arch.

Do a compression test also. May not be the problem, but just try it anyways.

Like its been said, sounds like a spark issue. You've did everything to fix any fuel issue. Rule that out. Let us know how your spark test comes out. Coil could be going bad.
