Hell I dunno. I call him goldy locks because he has long curly blonde hair. The way he looks just annoys the hell outta me. I think he drives like a late 90's model mustang now. It's white?

omg i FINALLY got my race. a dodge daytona charger. i saw him on the interstate and he was on it so i slammed it to 3rd gear and kept up with him. then followed him to clearview pkwy where he was cruizin and i slammed the gas lettin him know i wanted a piece. turned on to airline hwy and he followed. i had my windows down and he said i didnt have enough motor to race him, so i said lets see about it. light turned green and we went. first gear got ahead of him by a fender, slammed second gear and got half a car on him. i got out of it and he kept going. i caught back up to him and he was like "damn i feel embarrased i gotta give you your props dawg" he wasnt stock either from what i can tell he had the exhaust bc i kept hearing his pipes talk when i was keepin up with him on the interstate and i heard the air sucking in so he had either ram air or cold air. i am so excited. by the way its a new canned tune i ordered from ott i just loaded up 4 mins before i ran into this cat!!!

That's a long trip, even for us. There is a dyno here in Lucedale if you're just looking to dyno. I think he's going to get his tune tweaked a bit.

Yo dustin?
What would turning of torque mannagement off on my stock tune do?
I could go ahead and pay you to unlock my vin and when its stage 2 time you can just flash me.
I dont know if this is asking to much but im just askin.
So who all is coming out tomorow?
Ill be there.
Im undecided on what RL i wanna bring

i am not going to be able to stay there too long as work starts too early but to help u make the decision i am bringing the laptop so i can log up some scans bc this new tune i am runnin seems to be lean on the wideband, not sure if thats accurate or not. so if u bring the silver rl i can get it unlocked and bring it home and mess with the tune a bit and get it ready for ur stage 2, remove the torque management, and give u instant throttle responce.

I will have your 125 tomorow. What exactly does the torque mannagement do.
I dont have a wideband if that brings up a problem.
Narrowband on the interceptor reads fuggin 10.3 Commanded! redunkulious!

I def would like for you to look at the tune on this thing because it is garbage i think. I have hessitation in 2nd. Slight amout of knock in 4th and 5th.

Torque Managment is basically GM's way of limiting your power when u ****.....i'd highly suggest getting rid of it/ turning it off......i removed it from mine an actually have torque steer an it just all together feels so much stronger even though i'm sure the 2.8 an 60's help with that......every person i talked to about it has removed it even when i talked to OTT about Torque managment they explained that removing it would be best if i was lookin for performance an that i'd want it removed to see true gains

never mind this is what I came up with. Info from RLF

Torque management is a feature of your PCM to extend the life of key drivetrain components, and to attempt to act as a sort of limited traction control, depending on it's type and implementation. While this is great to extend the life of your car and reduce warranty claims for the General, it's not always optimal for max power or acceleration What we will discuss here is how to disable it, why to disable it, where to disable it, and should you disable it.

Boost Limiters:

The first type of torque management that we will discuss it the boost limiting method of the '04 and most, if not all '05 Saturn Ion Redlines.

Head to 'Engine>Torque Management>Supercharger'

Look under the bold heading 'Boost Limits'. There are two methods of limiting boost in this respect. 1 table controls 1st gear 'Max Boost(1st Gear)', and 1 table controls boost in all other gears, 'Max Boost(2nd Gear)'. These two tables are reasonably self explanitory, they limit boost to a percentage. From what I've observed, it does this by adjusting the supercharger's bypass to be x% open. So if you set it to 50% boost in first gear, you will basically open the bypass valve 50%. I have not confirmed EXACTLY how this operates yet, but I will. The basic premise is the same, you select the % of boost you'd like. This can be done in a 'curve' to allow you to dial in your boost for best results across the RPM range.

The Max Boost(1st Gear) table is useful as a mildly adjustable boost controller for easily reducing boost and power in 1st gear. This method is present in all LSJ setups that I've seen thus far, and is quite useful. I have not adjusted the 'All Other Gears' table, as I dont' have a reason to pull power in 2nd or 3rd gear.

Look under the bold heading 'Boost Control' The next set of Torque Management tools is the Desired MAP vs. Gear & RPM. This table will allow you to dial in boost as read by the car's MAP sensor. This becomes a VERY useful boost controller if you need to remove a touch of power here and there. I would use this table to pull just a TOUCH of boost in 2nd gear where it's hard to keep my tires planted on a road course. This is a more adjustable and easier to understand way of selecting your boost, where the 1st table is a %, this uses the actual manifold pressure to determine when to dump boost. This can be used for a launch control, or to limit boost to say 15psi if you're worried about injectors or breaking an axle, or whatever... This is also what controls the boost on stock cars and is why the boost bypass is effective in the 04's and '05s.

Both of these tables can also be sure that a son/daughter/roommate can't beat your car to death while you're out of town as well! See how they like 0psi!

Timing Torque Management:

Look under 'Engine>Torque Management>General'.

Under the heading 'Speak Retard'. vs. Torque Reduction. This table defines how much timing the car will pull when it's reducing torque with spark timing as opposed to boost control. This method is the main method for the '06 Redlines and for some odd reason, a few '05's with the stage tune. Setting this table to all 0's will disable all torque management related to spark retard. The car will still command the torque be limited, but the PCM will pull 0 degrees of timing. Same difference really.

Under 'Engine>Torque Management>Supercharger' there is a setting for 'Desired Torque' this is the replacement for the boost based control of the other Redlines. This table describes how much torque is allowed to be created in each gear at different RPM points. This is an intersting table, since it's described in ft/lbs of torque, but the number don't seem to match that. I use 700 to limit power in 1st gear...

Transmission Shift Torque Management:

Head to 'Trans>Torque Management'. Under the button for 'Torque Reduction' [Performance]. This is the table that tells the car how much power to yank on what should be a tire barking 2nd gear slam. To me, this feels like clutch slip, but not quite. Regardless, I zero this whole table out. Under the [Normal] button, I reduce the numbers to a point where I think it feels better. This might be a mental effect, but it sure seemed to smooth out alot of the jerkiness between shifts. This is personal preference and I like to leave most of it on for 'normal' driving.

It's tricky business. I would like to see actual dyno gains from this, however. Like, take a stock car with torque management and run it on the rollers. Then, remove all aspects of torque management and roll it out again. It would make for some interesting data.
