I am sooooo disappointed in this crowd. 1 Cobalt showed at the Drag Strip last night.


It was a fruckin great night. weather was awesome and the track was hooking incredibly.

Well, next time, i'm going to bring out our SS/SC. i'm lookin forward to meeting up with some of you. i need some insight on how to make the SS quicker...actually, my girlfriend told me last week she needed a CAI so she could beat a wrx. stage 2 honey, i told her. stage 2.

I would of been there too. Ohh wait, I live in PA. Anyone going to Maple Grove, PA Oct. 27th. Friday night test and tune. I'll be there and stock for the last time. Hoping for my best stock time. 14.6 was best so far out of two runs. I wanna hit a 14.4 real bad stock. Seems like its tough to do. Warm up those tires, and get a good launch I guess!

 

i would have gone even being from arkansas but one i didnt see the post and 2 im a few thousand miles away from anything having to do with my car right now.

Don't take it personal, but I don't think any of the SS/SC's wanted to waste their gas on an overpriced, underpowered car like the 350Z/G35.

 

ouch... haha! well i kinda agree. You presented this whole event the wrong way. you came in like you were here to show that your car could kill any SS/SC on here. i doubt anyone wanted to show up just so you could try to boost your ego. maybe just a simple invite out the the track would have been nice...

 

what strip are you guys talking about.....if its denton drag then im plannin on goin in the next couple of weeks...

 

the original thread was talking about texas motorplex in ennis, tx. its a 1/4 track.

 

yeah, i love ennis...its about an hour away from my house. i get coca-cola box tickets to the races all the time, all the coke you can dring, 52 inch plasma with satalite, and if you go out on the balacany....a ton of rubber in your face (literally)!!

13.9 @102 stock. other than the juice i have done no performance enhancements. on a 75 shot i sucked and got 13.6 @ 108.
hopefully they'll be giving out tons of Full Throttle drinks. cant get enuff of those.

appareantly i cant make a joke properly, or some of you cant take one. Sorry to have to say that.
i just really wanted to see how quick the cobalt is with an average joe behind the wheel.
i got waxed by an integra on my first run. i stopped him and gave him all kinds of accolades (compliments) because of how quick his car was.
buy, i'm a dick and a mean man i guess.

 

Now, why would i take that personal? my name isnt Nissan.
1st. i dont get terribly upset at words on a computer screen.
2nd. with all the mods you have, you're still slower than my overpriced, underpowered 350Z
3rd. you dont speak for the entire cobalt network
4th. they said they had to work or had other engagements...no big deal, there will be another time.

there's one thing i have learned over the years racing...there is always someone else faster. any car can be built to be fast.

1. I'm just poking some fun, nothing on a computer screen should be taken personally anyway.

2. My car would tear your car into pieces. My car runs faster times than you with the clutch slipping the entire way down the track, where did you get the idea mine's slower than you? I would beat you on the spray, and it would get really ugly when the bottle ran out...

3. I don't speak for the entire, but there's enough of us trapping higher than 108 to laugh at your "Naws" times.

4. I look forward to the time you might come into my area, so I can properly educate you on what a modded cobalt SS/SC does to 350z.

In all seriousness, you come off like a complete jerk. You need to learn to use smilies, and proper text if you're not a jerk like you're saying. An invite to a track is one thing. In the other post you said that you're "tired of hearing about us beating GTO's and 350Z's" blah blah blah. It can be done. Once again, you're welcome to come to my track and try your luck against mine. Then you can "learn" how to make your wife's SS faster.

 

Yes, I have not been fortunate enough to make a 12 second pass. I've been having clutch issues all summer, and I'm addressing it over the winter. The 13.35 was way back in April, and I had much less mods than I do now. With a good, non slipping clutch, this car is capable of 110+mph traps, easily, and even Rob attested to that. My last pass still netted in a 13.5@~108mph with the clutch literally smoking and having engagement issues the ENTIRE way down the track. It was like running half throttle the entire pass. This car is easily capable of 12.7's@110-112mph with a decent clutch.
