My last pass still netted in a 13.5@~108mph with the clutch literally smoking and having engagement issues the ENTIRE way down the track. It was like running half throttle the entire pass. This car is easily capable of 12.7's@110-112mph with a decent clutch.

again i say, any car can be made quick. and there is always someone quicker than you.
love ya man!

1st. i dont get terribly upset at words on a computer screen.
2nd. with all the mods you have, you're still slower than my overpriced, underpowered 350Z
3rd. you dont speak for the entire cobalt network
4th. they said they had to work or had other engagements...no big deal, there will be another time.

I'm your huckleberry...........
So I guess that must mean I can say the same thing about you? Oh, I used to own an LSJ, and respect what these guys are doing over here. Yes I made a minor upgrade, but I'm not arrogant enough to think that the car makes the man........Scroll down if you'd like to see my minor upgrade.........I'm sure stock for stock it'll make your 350Z seem "overpriced and underpowered"

True, there's always someone faster. And yes, any car can be made quick. And yes, my car will beat yours. Lastly, you are one goofy dude!

i got busted for that.
i am glad you are starting to see the humor in this now. i will never claim to not be goofy.
i asked some to come out to the strip. no one showed. i came back on and said i was disappointed nobody showed up. i made one comment someone didnt like and i edited my post because of that.
you made a comment and i responded. now we are in this silly internet battle which means nothing. i am being made out to be the bad guy when i was just hoping some balts would show up to the strip, or let them know to come out and have some fun next time.
i dont believe i have insulted anyone, nor the car you drive.
i do believe in facts. and the fact remains my car ran a better 1/4 than yours has....so far. come spring time you may very well dip into the 12's, so in advance, congratulations. when it comes to racing, a win is a win no matter how you look at it. you dont like nitrous and think it's weak? thats your choice. but for me, the $600 investment made my car alot quicker. cheap horsepower...isnt that why people buy the srt-4? the cobalts ss?
The Z is the top selling car in the mid-priced sports car segment. someone must like it alot huh?
and its not all about quickness. if it were, i might have looked at the GTO (6.0 of course).
the styling, the handling, the power, the history of the Z, and everything about the car is exactly perfect for me.
So, this is the end of the road for me here. if i show you a timeslip, which i knew you would ask for, people on here will find a way to discredit it anyway. thats all anyone has done on this post, or any post i have made about the 350z. and truthfully, thats to be expected.
GTO? thing of the past. it's gone again. 3 years, lackluster sales. GM isnt gonna make them anymore. with 400hp it should be fast. wanna talk about an overpriced car, there it is. you get a big motor, and one heavy car.
so all in all, you can say what you want about the Z, no big deal. i'll continue my trend of not bashing the Cobalt on your home court. i may make comparisons and/or opinions based on my driving experience, not just the msrp (as some of you have done with the 350 without spending much time, IF ANY driving one) and how quick it is.
you fellas enjoy your evening.

As I stated in my return pm, it does no good to disrespect anyones cars, as everyone has different taste. I don't mean any disrespect to your car, even though it's not my cup of tea. As for the timeslip, feel free to post it. I've read tons of them, and can read cars very well by them. I'll know your low end, midrange, and top end, and I definitely know what my car can do. I'd be more than willing to show you in person if you weren't so far away. As for the GTO, I wouldn't complain about it being overpriced and underpowered, considering it's in the same price range as a new 350Z/G35, and would completely walk each of those in any race. Stock for stock neither the 350Z or the G35 coupe come anywhere close to the performance of a LS2 GTO, while being in the same price "range", and being able to seat 4 people. Back to the timeslip arguement, you can't compare timeslips anyway. Two different tracks, different weather conditions, etc. There's too many variables to make a fair comparison. The only real way to do it is to race in person, which I would love to add another modded 350z to my kill list-one with "naws" at that! As for the nitrous, anyone can put a nitrous kit on their car and add power. It doesn't last. As for it being cheap? Maybe. Add up how much you'll spend to keep that bottle full over the next couple years, and I would think not.

Well. you traded the SS for a truck and I sort of did the opposite but sold mine outright...
Ok here's the biggest hint you're gonna get...sort of like your sig was to me...

And yes that's 220K on the odometer...

Well nevermind, I see you haven't been active on the other site since July right about when I was asking you about these cars. Well, I'm going to sleep now as I have to work in about 6 hrs...Zed

To Blububble. I would like to clear things up on my behalf. I think 350z is a great car and stock versus stock the Z is a superior car in every catagory, comparing it to the Cobalt. Hell, you even got use on the higher price!
As for the timeslip, it goes a long way for me and I'm sure I speak for many on this forum that feel the same way. So post them up! Until you do, you will have many doubters. We have an honor system around here and if you post a timeslip, it's enough to get you on the "The Official Cobalt 1/4 Mile List", if you're a top 10 finisher on here. Well, if you owned a Cobalt.

LOL the truck stands no chance from a roll w/ the Cobalt for now! Maybe a 2.4l one....hmmm..
I had a 5.3 with Flowmasters, Air Raid CAI, and Hypertech tuning. The Vortechs respond very well to a few bolt ons. I managed 0-60 in about 6.4 seconds, and 1/4 mile times in the mid to upper 14s, yes not exactly stellar numbers until you realize that those times were in a 1/2 ton Extended cab P/U.
Oh and for Bubble that says the Goat is over-priced, I picked mine up for $28,900. Checking the Nissan website, a track coupe (in an attempt to get the best performing Z possible) lists for $34,550. The Base Coupe starts at $27,650. Lets do some simple math......
28900/400 = $72.25 per horsepower 27,650/300(there were 2 horsepower numbers, will give the Z the benefit of the doubt and go with the higher number) = $92.16 per horsepower. Now granted this is in no way scientific (especially since the Nissan Motor's torque numbers suck), but I don't think any Z owner should or could call the GTO an over-priced under-powered pig. I also hope you don't start claiming the Z's interior is better, there are quite a few converts on the GTO website that will argue that the GTO's interior is MUCH BETTER than the Z's.......But I'm sure you bought the Z for your own personal reason, I bought the GTO for mine. These members here bought their Cobalt SS for their specific reasons, one of them was to surprise some Z and G35 owners on the road. Having previously owned an LSJ, that is completely possible and likely.
Oh and incase you still don't think it happens, here's testimony from a fellow Z owner........
