Drag-N-Brag Competitors,
The Sportsman class rules are correct on the TMS web-site. texasmotorspeedway.com. The original flyer that went out was wrong and very misleading and for that I apologize. In an effort to make thing fair for all competitors in the 2009 Drag-N-Brag, we have decided to make the following changes in the Sportsman division.
1) If your car has any internal engine modification, you are a Street Outlaw.
2) If your car uses nitrous, you are a Street Outlaw.
3) If you are running Drag Radials, you are a Street Outlaw.
4) If you are running Drag Slicks, you are a Street Outlaw.
Headers and cold air intake are not considered internal engine modifications. It was always our intent to have a stock 8-cylinder and above class. If you competed in the first week of Drag-N-Brag on July 3rd and are moved up to Street Outlaw due to these new rules, all points will be transferred due to the fact that you were classed wrong by TMS staff. Everyone competing in the Sportsman class will answer these (4) questions before the next race. If you are honest and move to the Street Outlaw class, all points will transfer. If you are dishonest and caught, you will lose all points and still be moved up in class. If you feel that someone is running in the wrong class, please let a track official know.
I would like to keep you informed of all the things that we are doing after week 1 to get better at hosting street racing. We will have stands in the spectator area behind the pit wall. We are moving concessions closer to the spectators. We are building a light tower to help indicate winner. We will be more organized in the Tech area and on the apron of the track. The class signs will be moved up during the night to keep everyone as close to the action as possible. This will also make our job easier, parking competitors closer together. Each driver will report to the Tech table to get rules, schedules, maps or anything else that will help inform our drivers. Victory Lane is being moved to the Start line so that all fans will be involved. Every night we race, there is a driver’s meeting held in the pre-staging area at 8:30pm to help keep everyone informed. These are just some of the changes being made for week 2. I would like to personally thank each one of you for coming out to our first event and insure you that it is TMS’s goal to improve every night to make each event bigger and better. I would also like to invite all back out to grow with us each week. We will get better.

I just talked to the Toyota/Scion Dealer in Denton and they have no clue about those passes

They should really do something about AWD cars aswell. I just don't understand how that evo could have been in our class when he could have easily beaten any car in the class up.
I think they should bump him up a class. AWD has the same advantage as drag radials and slicks.
I agree, but, something inside me says that this guy would get all butt hurt if they did that because he gets satisfaction out of knowing that he has a 100% win against anything in the tuner class. I would like to see that thing go up against some cars that can actually give him a race.
this one works i just did it
http://www.videodownloadx.com/
after you paste the link and click download you will see a little thumbnail of the vid, to the right of the thumbnail there will be 2 little banner adds, in between these 2 adds is a gray link to download it, its kinda hard to see at first, click it then click save and then name it and such.

Well, we had about 8 cobalts or so for this one. Maybe next week we can get more than this.
Do you have that e-mail address? I cannot seem to get my password for the TMS website, so I want to contact them with my concerns.

You too man, if you have any meets or anything you can hit me up on here and i will PM you my number here in a sec. I think i will go out there next week, depends on if i can find one of those passes again or not. I am not sure if i want to pay 20 bucks to get knocked out in the second round going against a car that beat me by 175 HP again, that totally sucked, but i really have fun out there, if anything i will just watch, but i really want to race again.
