Yokohama Tires

Most of you guys know I work for Discount Tire co. Today I went to fort worth to test drive some of the yokohma products that they have out. The cars we were drive we 07 bmw 325 with yokohama tires on them. We eve test drove t rate tires on the car "Avid Trz" The Trz were very skiddish around the course for the most part. Then again we werent easy on the cars. The next tire that impressed me was the yokohama yk520. as much as we beat this tire up on the course the tire was not very choppy. I was very impressed the way the tire handle with a 520 tread ware rating. The next tire was the advan sdrive. I was driving with one of the guys i work with and he pretty much drifted the car in a half circle threw the track causing me to hold the oh **** handle. The advans are very soft and slippery going threw the half mooned circle on the track but great in the courners and great throttle response. The third car we test drove was the advan Nevo. Now that is a serious racing tire they have came out with. All the cars were the same setup and all. This tire hadle so well on the 325 that in a corner there was no sliding what so ever. I ended up with a 53.21 for a track time. The average was about 54.15. I ran it with out hitting any cones what so every. I have never test such a great tires since yokoham. i have test bfg and michelin. Nothing compairs to yokohamas for performance. The price is cheaper than bridge stone and michelin. I was very impressed with the overal testins on all the tires. The next set of tires i wll get for my car will be the yk520. I wouldnt get the advan-s for my car due to the fact of the car sliding so much on the road course. But also keep in prospective that we drove the **** out of the cars to the point the e-brake was showing on. "Brakes need to be replaced". I thought I would share with you guys what i get to do every so often and get paid for having fun at a event like this. My adreline was pumping so fast I was shaking and everyone was asking me if I was ok. I was the first guy to test drive the tires when they were cold and they handle like a dream. I wont go to any other performance tire than yokohama again. Yokohama also say they 100% guarentee on all they tires. If someone doesnt like them the will work with the customer about the tires and find out why they didnt like those tire to help with another set. Overal preforamance on yokohama tires I give them a A+ for handeling and durability.

If you were full-time you get to go to these events. Drving those cars were so much fun. Your adreline was pumping so fast and the tires were so chopped out like you wouldnt believe, except on the new yokohama that is replacing the es100. It was just worn on the shoulder no choppyness.
