09 Camaro V6 $40,000!! LOL

Yep you read it right! they just got a V6 in and i drove by to see it. It is the 2LT V6 fully loaded. the sticker comes out to $30,000 even. then written on the tag is a Availability charge $10,000! Can you believe the B*lls on those guys? Granted they are the biggest rip off place in the Kings Bay area but that's a bit much. On a lighter note it was a BEAUTIFUL Car. Even the V6 looks fast. I'm sure it's no slouch either. Great interior. I didn't bother to ask them to open it I didn't want to get Charger for that!! LOL

Sad part is someone will probably buy it for that price. Personally I would never pay over MSRP for any new car.

nice cars, v6 having 304 ponies is not a bad thing either, would rather have the v8 since the car would be the weekend warrior but I'd rather spend money on other things.

Anyone who pays 40k for a V6 Camaro (and can) needs to be smacked across the head with a tack hammer.

everyone i've asked around here is charging over sticker, as well.

one wants sticker + 3k for an ordered v6, sticker + 5k for an ss, and claims they sold first ss (non order) for 10k above sticker

second wants sticker + 5k for any order, regardless.

third wants sticker + 8k for dealer stock, +10k for ordered.

i'm hoping that reports of dealers asking more than sticker get back to gm. it would be awesome to see some of these dealers knocked out. i understand that everyone needs to make money, but this is extreme. from reports on camaro5, gm is following up with people who register complaints about above sticker pricing. hopefully, they'll consider that strongly in their customer satisfaction/location/facilities surveys when choosing which dealers not to renew.

i'd imagine they're driving 10-15 possible purchasers away each time they start talking about the markup. i can't imagine that can be good for long term survivability of their dealer. get them out, then maybe some "trustworthy" places can grow and prosper, while enhancing the brand's reputation as well.

I saw one today as well. It was mearly a 2LT with RS appearence package and the polished 20" inch wheels. Sticker was 28k and change. They had an SS but it was sold earlier that day... sexy ******* cars. I want a white SS with inferno orange rally stripes like a fat kid wants a cupcake...
