62k and going on my tires but it's about time for some new ones. Any suggestions on 245/40?

 

I run the General Exclaim UHP tires in a 245/40-18. Even though most sites don't list it they have a light snow traction rating M+S on the sidewall. (we do get snow up this way).
They also have a long wear rating.
There are stickier tires out there if you have a winter set to use though.
I use the same tire year round.

The Hankook v12's took 2nd behind the Dunlops everyone uses. If I were going for a summer set I would probably get the V12's for the price compared to the Dunlops.

I know the GM guys really want the HHR SS down there but its really dependent on the GM parts I'm waiting on.

If my evap solenoids are here by this Saturday afternoon, then I will be driving the HHR SS, if not I will be driving the Van.
Bad thing about gmpartsdirect is you never get shipping updates, so it could be here tommorow for all I know. (I ordered Monday)

I don't mind driving the HHR SS locally with the evap code, plus lean bank 1 code once a day (result of the evap solenoid being bad).
I only have to drive about 6 miles a day round trip. But I don't want to risk a 2 hr drive 1 way with it running like that.

A warning to you all, DO NOT overfill your gas tank. 90% sure this is why my Evap vent solenoid went bad. While the gas is swishing around in the tank overfilled, it finds its way into the wrong place and ruins the solenoid.
