The interior on the new camaro espacially on a 2SS is extremely nice. If you want to compare a base V6 to it be my guest. Also if you can afford a. $30,000+ car living in a trailer park, you are doing atleast one thing in life right.

We actually looked at buying the new Camaro over the HHR SS, but my wife only had about 2 inchs of clearance from her head to the roof.
So we ended up getting the HHR SS which was roomier.

Just my opinion, but I felt like I was sitting in a tank with limited visibility when I sat in the new Camaro SS and I'm 6'. I test drove a 2012 Mustang V6, it was a lot more comfortable and I could actually see. Don't get me wrong, the Camaros are nice. Just don't like the view from the inside And let's not forget about the horrible blind spots.

If the wife would have let me before i built the HHR SS, I wanted to trade the HHR SS for a 2011 Mustang V6, track pack with the 3.31 gears.

She nixed that idea so I built up the HHR SS>

I thought the visibility was better than a 4th gen f-body honestly... all the car is going to get is a GMPP exhaust, cai and a tune more than likely, I don't see myself building it or anything... a racecar it won't be... also, I told them on the colors anything but yellow, green, or silver... hoping for White...

the GMPP exhaust is actually cheaper than Magnaflow, Borla, or Corsa... And is a complete axle-back as well... doesn't sound half bad either:

YouTube - ‪2010 Camaro SS with GMPP Exhaust Upgrade‬‏

Installed its about $800

exhaust 1st, then the CAI, then the tune, which really wakes the L99 up, not only about 20whp, but the transmission tune and getting rid of the DOD makes the car MUCH quicker... will be in the 12s easily with those mods, fast enough for me and it's a nice ass car... I'd rather be in a slower Camaro SS than a faster Cobalt SS, i'll just say that... loved the Cobalt for what it was, a 5th gen Camaro SS it was not

Any tune. Even the bunk ass diablo sport. Is giviiing 15-20Whp, but im going to let Vince work his magic. Improving the speed the transmission shifts and removing torque management alone will put these cars in the 12s

Does anyone know if vince can adjust the LC on the Camaros like he can the Cobalts?

Also after pricing insurance I had to sitt back and laugh. Its almost hysterical that a 265Hp 22,000 Cobalt cost more to insure than a 35,000 Camaro. And with the camaro on 6 Years instead of 5 like I had the cobalt, payment will go up less than $25/month at $32000 for the Camaro. Ill gladly take that increase and extra year. By the time that extra year comes into play, i'll be topped out and hopefully have paid it off early anyway. Can afford it right now and my pay will increase substantially in the next 2 years, about 2/hr in the next few weeks. Then almost 3/Hr after the next 2000 hours. So 5/hr just in the next year...then the good raises start, lol

I don't think you'd want that run from a dig against a tuned L99... i'll even look better putting a beat down on your hatch

.....

its coming....im almost in with the honda crew....and you know what that mean's.....cheap part's....guy down the street has been pushing this turbonetic's kit on me for like the last 2 month's....$600....

do you know what a y7/y8 w/ ex tran's will do when you boost it? ~250whp 175wtq...in a car that weigh's 1500....im not a honda guy at all but the number's dont lie lol....

but its ******* ridiculous driving a boosted mini-me w/ ex tran's...guy came by my house the other day with that (white 4 door ek) and that thing was nasty....gave me another level of respect for the honda crowd....they street race though and thats gay...

besides...im just giving you ****...i like the camaro, just not for me...and you are getting the right one...6 speed ss....so yeah..least its not an auto v6...

I already raced a boosted hatch in the HHR SS Easter Sunday, lets say it wasn't pretty for him.

3 car lengths and still pulling when I let off, I even let him get a 1/2 car jump to boot.

After the 2nd run he decided to stay behind me, while his friend was laughing at him the whole time

the L99s aren't as fast as the LS3s stock, they run 13.2-13.4s all day... however, once tuned the 6-speed auto is SICK from a dig... even being down in hp(compared to a tuned LS3)... I won't put a stall on mine but a tune and a stall alone puts them mid-12s

i'm curious to see the LC on an auto tuned L99.... of course if the torque management with it is anything like it is with the LNF Cobalts, it probably will be EASIER to launch than traditionally launching the car, but slower... when I get one, i'm going to get with Vince to see if we can get the software to adjust our LC on the dime using the EZ flash...

probably will be similar results to the Cobalt though, decent on the street, terrible on a prepped track

See talk of that ugly ass tank car killed the conversation in this thread! You should be ashamed of yourself :P.

So I drove 4 variations of these over the past weekend at a local street shoot out. I have to say

2011 Mustang > New Camaro in driving and interior. The 2SS is nice but damn for the price I would honestly rather have a '11 or '12 Stang. Oh and I got to drive a procharged version of both and gd both were sick!

But if your a die hard chevy man get the maro , they are nice just not really my preference.

The 2011-2012 GT Mustang is what happens when you go all in with an engine but forget you have to have a solid transmission backing it

And I still stand by you give a Camaro stainless headers, a cold air intake and 3.73s(All of which the Mustang has from the factory) and the Mustang doesn't want that race anyway. Its not who comes out the gate first.

At the end of the day a L99 is always $700 worth of valvetrain work, a bottle, and a tune from 600whp and you know the transmission is a pit fighter.
